I’m still getting the hang of French press coffee, but any issues I’ve had are strictly user error and not related to this carafe. I love that it was $10 cheaper than the Bodum, and near as I can tell its quality is as good or better. It’s not as attractive as the Bodum, but I don’t have it out on display so it’s not really an issue for me. Over all I highly recommend it if functionality and price are your top concerns.

Yes, the Coffee does indeed taste better using this press. And Yes, it's fairly easy to clean up the mess. But do I want to heat hot water to the perfect temperature, preheat the French Press with Hot Water, then wait for at least 4 minutes for the Coffee to Brew at 4:00 A.M. ?? Relegated to special occasions and the Weekends, I'm not ready to get rid of the Drip Machine just yet...

I gave this as a gift to my room mate. She does have some dexterity issues with her hands, but she mastered this the 1st time. And she loves it and the coffee it makes. Claims it is very smooth. Before she used it the 1st time, she didn't like the idea of some of the prep work, like rinsing with hot water every time before making the coffee. And at 1st she wasn't thrilled with boiling the water. But after using it the 1st time, the only thing she has mentioned is how good the coffee is. I gave it 5 stars due to the ease of how she can use it and how good she says the end result is. She gets about 2 cups of coffee each time, but she uses a big cup, at least a 12 ouncer, if not bigger.

This is very easy to use, inexpensive, easy to clean and just as good as the pricey French Presses. Just add near boiling water to ground coffee and let it sit for a few minutes. Then press down slowly on the plunger. So easy and the triple filter won't let any grounds into your mug when you pour the coffee. I had a glass one before but the glass broke when it fell and hit the counter. With this model, they improved the design by adding a simple metal casing. You clean it easily by dumping the grounds and rinse out the glass. Why pay a lot more when this works perfectly well.

I bought this because i really like tea and the strainers do not keep the small tea grinds inside but they spill in the drink. This is not really a problem, but I wondered if there was an implement to produce tea with zero tea grinds. And I have found it. It works just like you think it should. And it works spectacularly and is very easy to clean. Does not look bad either, sitting on a table or kitchen top somewhere. 5 stars * * * * *

After dropping and shattering my last one I purchased this one. I like that it has the stainless steel wrap around the glass to protect it. The glass also comes out so that you can wash it separately.
