All of the bottom drawers and shelf are fabric but they all I’ve metal slides that make opening and closing them a breeze. I put this together myself and had I paid closer attention to the directions I would have had it done in an hour flat. Directions are very clear, I was the problem. The bed is great. It has good storage. The drawers on sides are pretty strong. The front storage isn’t as strong to hold items. If you place something more sturdy underneath to help hold it, it would hold well. It was okay to put together you just have to pay attention to the holes on the poles.

I really like it. I was surprised how big the cubbies were. Glad it turned out great. My husband built it on his own so it is manageable to do it on your own. Why I didn’t help, well he didn’t want the help. He enjoys building things for the kids, plus he has many years of experience with that. I would recommend it. It is affordable, but it does take some time to built. But the end result is worth it in my opinion. ... show more

It's fairly simple to assemble. We bought two. My daughters love them. A piece was broken on one and the other had a lot of hardware missing. Thankfully we could get them at the hardware store. I would not buy this product again if I had to buy beds again.
