abunda_amazon_reviews I have been well satisfied with the Muller cold wrap that I've been using for two months now. It comes with a removable cold pack that you can freeze or boil. Though I have never needed to boil it for heating. The pack itself is made of simple food-service packaging which I will get to in more detail later. The sleeve that holds the ice pack has two sides. The entire back is velcro adhereable(sic?). The other side is a fine net that provides good heat transfer from the ice pack and is soft enough to feel nice to bare skin. The sleeve is sealable with another velcro strip. The white wrap is made of nylon that allows for a nice tight wrap around the icing area. It is also Velcro adhereable. Very Functional. Overall the Muller Cold/Hot pack is a very functional product. However, I can't give it five stars for one reason. I foresee that this product is not built to last. The stitching between the two sides of the sleeve are not very strong. The ice pack is made of food-service packing material That feels like it could leek at anytime. The white wrap portion is already starting to fray from repeated velcro wear. I am happily willing to accept these drawbacks as a trade off for the low price I paid ($11.95). For the occasional injury this product is a great therapeutic device. However, if you need a icepack for long term use, it may be worthwhile to find a more quality built product. (Or just buy two of these!) *UPDATE: One Year Later* 11/7/2013- I have been using this pack for about 16 months at this point and everything is still working properly. I feel I have to take back my comments on it being "not built to last" because I really had nothing to base those statements on except for my suspicions. The pack is still being used by me about once every two weeks and I've had no problems. Yes, the velcro frays the white strap, but this is a purely aesthetic issue. No harm has come of it. Overall I'm still satisfied a year later!;;Reviewed in the United States on September 29, 2012;;4.0 out of 5 stars;;Solid Budget Cold Wrap;;Celtic Murat;;;I was struggling with normal ice packs for my ankle and knee and came across this. Was skeptical given the price but it wasn't much to risk so I gave them a try. These turned out to be exactly what I wished the Doctor had ordered! The flexibility and the Velcro on this ice pack allow it to be easily and comfortably wrapped around ankle and knee. Even when as frozen as it's going to get the "ice" can easily be kneaded back to being soft enough to wrap around ankle. Only complaint at all is how long it takes to get the ice pack cold. I'm guessing that this is a byproduct of whatever material is used to keep the pack from becoming a frozen rock. I bought this to hold an ice pack to my ankle. It works very well being both secure and comfortable. The pack does stay cold for a while and can be uncomfortable at first due to the cold. I wear it over a thin sock when I first put it on to avoid that. I've been using it several times each week for several months and it shows no signs of wear. I have to say these are the most comfortable & convenient ice packs I've ever used. I bought them for an achilles tendon issue & I've found I can even wrap them around my ankle & work comfortably around the house all day! After a few minutes I don't even notice they are there. I also have an ankle compression sleeve, so usually I put on the sleeve (which is a thick fabric) & then put this wrap over the sleeve. This allows the perfect amount of cold to pass through & adds a soft barrier under the wrap (the wrap itself is very soft so the softness of the sleeve isn't necessary - I just like it better that way). I have 2 of these, so when one is no longer cold I lay it back in the freezer & put on the other one. By the time one is no longer cold the other one is ready to go again. The hospital was really pushing an expensive cold therapy machine but the nurses said it was unnecessary and that ice packs would suffice. Not only was this absolutely true, but way cheaper than paying $100-$200 for the machine. I bought two wraps along with additional ice packs for a total of four ice packs. These wraps made icing my knee so easy and convenient. I didn't have to worry about the ice packs slipping off and could get up and hobble to the bathroom without a second thought. I did this for two weeks and the wraps are still going strong.
