Instead of fixing my car's actual problems, I bought this. And I have no regrets. Right after ordering, I got an email that said, "There was a problem with your order," but it turned out to just be letting me know my order was split into two packages, with tracking links for both. They both showed up on time. As for the speaker and amp quality, it sounds amazing and gets seriously loud once you get the settings right. It's not shake-the-whole-neighborhood loud, but you will feel it inside your car, and annoy people outside of it. I haven't installed the capacitor yet, and honestly, it sounds perfectly fine without it, so if you're on a budget, you could definitely skip it and go with the cheaper kit. One tip for other subwoofer noobs: the kit doesn't include everything you might need. I had to order a line-output converter separately so I could connect it to my car's stock stereo, because it doesn't have an RCA jack output (some aftermarket stereos might have it already). I connected this to my built in amp on my Kia soul. This avoided all the difficulties of wiring it, which was great. The best part, it sounds amazing! I'm sure I could get more out of it if I use the included amp and power thing, but why would I if I'm getting all I need. I don't even turn it all the way up because it's so much already. I got this box in my Durango and trust me you feel the Bass. Everything you need to hook it up was in the box. I added another speaker on top of it for some extra sound and I'm loving the setup . You can't beat this all around price that comes with it.

So I purchased these subwoofers to hold me over while I am having a custom box with subs built specifically for my truck, even though these are not permanent for me I will say I am quite impressed how hard these subs hit and sound. You honestly can’t go wrong with this set up, they hit hard enough that my neighbor can hear them. They look sweet, have great performance and are completely functional for most vehicles. The Boss amp that's included with this kit I personally don't like it. If you look into the amp by itself it has horrible reviews. The capacitor was ok no complaints about it yet. The audio wiring is the cheapest audio wiring I've ever seen. The $20 amp wiring kits from Walmart are better quality then the kit that comes with it. I personally will not buy again and I cannot recommend this unit to anyone else. This is a overpriced setup for and the price of this they should of just included the real MTX amp that comes with the subwoofers. Then if they did that they couldn't make any money from it at that price. When using the boss amp and the equipment provided it was really disappointing. I have a cheap single 10 inch sub from Walmart that I paid $70 for the sub and amp built it that sounds better then this entire set up. I waited to post this review just to try and be fair but I cannot support this system so do your self a favor and get a different system or get a system that actually has the MTX amp and subs don't go with the BOSS amp ... show more

    • Novice installers opinion.
Helped my son install it. I would have liked a bit more detailed instructions (for the 1st time installers out there). Especially for the capacitor, but we figured it out with the help of Reddit & Google and the Ford forums. There was generally enough wire and the connectors could have been better sized for the wire size (or maybe instruction for where each goes for us newbies), but overall a fairly easy install. We had to buy a wiring harness ($56) to connect to the factory radio (which was a little bit of a nightmare to find for a 2011 Ford Escape). Everything else fell into place fairly well. It sounds good, but I'm 54 who's never had a sub in any of my cars, and I have bad hearing, so my opinion on that is kinda moot. My 16yr old is happy, so there's that. ... show more

Easy to jnstall the only negative thing I got to say about the product it's the extra decibel switch it comes with, its really cheaply made and it doesn't work.
