It seems like it has all features needed such as two PCIe direct connection to CPU (instead of chipset). However, it's quite scary. I was so lucky that I found a post on Reddit that mentioned this motherboard needs 5-10 minutes for the first boot. On first boot it shows CPU detection error LED. I was about to reassemble multiple times or return it. It seems like this problem high-likely happens when a newer CPU is used such as 7900x. In terms of BIOS options, I should say a b450 tomahawk almost has an identical BIOS to this. Generally other more expensive brands seem to have more advanced options in BIOS. For the price it is worth it but be careful for the first boot so that you don't destroy your CPU/MB pins for reassembling multiple times or some strange tricks on Youtube (such as fast toggling power button on the Power: DANGER! DON'T DO THAT, IT CAN BE DANGEROUS).

I purchased this motherboard for an upgrade to my system using a new Ryzen CPU. Overall I have been satisfied with the product. The previous board I had was a MSI Gaming M5 for an Intel 6th gen CPU. I liked a lot of the features, ease of use and the UEFI which led me to stick with them on the second go around. The X670-P WIFI didn't disappoint either. To start, There are a lot of things I like about this motherboard: -Simple UEFI/BIOS that is easy to find what you are looking for without spending too much time in. -MSI Center software that lets you easily monitor system specs, you can also add/remove certain parts of the software that you may or may not need which is a big plus for me. -Multiple Fan headers and dedicated header for a AIO pump, this is pretty standard on most boards these days but you can never have too many connectors for fans with newer cases seeming to have more and more each generation. (8 Total headers) -USB headers and connections, there are (2) 2.0, (2) 3.2 Gen1 and (1) 3.2 Gen 2 headers. I have only used a single for my case but like there are is plenty of options. -RGB connections for 3 and 4 pin, gives a lot of compatibility between RGB components right now. -Quality of the board and the finishes on the heatsinks feel very sturdy and premium. The overall aesthetic is nice and can go with many color schemes. -4 M.2 Slots provide plenty of expansion of drives, M.2 is quickly becoming the go to for storage so having several to use is nice for the future. There are a few things I do wish could be added or improved, although most of these are preferences and probably not the opinion of the majority: -The newer motherboards seem to be favoring LEDs that indicate failures in the POST, my previous MSI board had a counter display that could give specific error codes and would display the CPU temp during normal operation. In the ~$200 USD price range this seems like it would be a reasonable addition. -No options for boards without the built in Wi-Fi on the higher end, this is probably an unpopular opinion but I use wired connections for my desktop and just ended up disabling anyway. I'm sure there are plenty that enjoy this feature but would be nice to have a cheaper model without it. -More USB A connections on the rear panel as there are (6) with (2) USB C. The USB is great but I still have many peripherals that use the older A type and would be nice to not have to unplug, use a hub or get an adapter to use the type C. There are multiple headers so some cases may alleviate this problem with front panel connections. Overall, I really like this board and its features for the price point. There are not a lot of X670 chipsets that can be had for this price and for that I think it adds a lot of value. I have not had a lot of time to really dive into all the settings on the board and test, but haven't found any performance issues yet. Most of my complaints are minor and therefore I will still give it a five star rating. If you are in the market for an X670 AM5 board, I would strongly advise considering this one for the price point and included features.

Wouldn't post randomly - sometimes takes minutes Did not work with 7700x out of the box - required BIOS flashback. There was no way to figure this out from the light pattern. It just had both DRAM and CPU lights on. The automated install process installs a bunch of bloatware (including Norton antivirus) and changes your desktop background without warning you (or maybe it did and I missed it). PCIe Bus Errors in linux and random freezing and crashing. Lost my BIOS settings (including UEFI boot info) twice making me have to reinstall/repair OS Won't sleep consistently Takes a long time to wake up or POST M.2. clips are flimsy and release unexpectedly No mention of which RAM slots to use in the printed instructions (wasted a lot of time on this) Wifi disappears randomly (in both windows and linux) - you have to turn it off completely and then restart Wifi antennas are flimsy and easily bend I had an MSI motherboard before, and it was rock solid. This one was terrible. I'm not sure if they need time to work out the kinks, or what. The only good thing about it was the multiple M.2 ports (4) and SATA ports (6) I plan to return it after going through the Amazon process.

I was having trouble with game crashes, blue screen, apps acting strange. All I had to do was update the BIOS to the latest and everything seems great now. Make sure no PBO or OC is on, the new technology is unstable. UPDATE: They released even newer BIOS around 11/25/22. These seem to have helped the slow boot time as well as allowed me to OC my RAM to what it's rated at, 6000. No crashes yet. Before this BIOS update, I couldn't OC at all without games crashing relatively consistently.

If you're kinda on a budget this board for 200 on sale is very good imo. It recognized all my new components with no problem, hope it will last because the only minor fault to it is long boot times, I think its in most of MSI boards, but I rather have 40-50 seconds of boot time over 20-30 seconds with compatibility / stability issues or things like coil whine. I'm not gonna go big over clock probably like I did with my previous 8700k but If I try and it will handle it that's a bonus. My build - 7700X Corsair 6000MHz AMD EXPO PULSE 7900 XTX

If the quality of an electronics circuit board can be classed in a scale of 1,2 or 3 in build quality. I rate this a class 3 product. No weird buzzing noises coming from the motherboard. Its dead silent (yes..somehow thats an issue here with AM5 chipsets). I expected a slow first boot as the RAM was tested for speed, but was actually surprised on how fast it initially posted, knowing to expect the slow boot for the AM5 chipset. Then again surprised at how fast it boots in general. Im actually kind of sad it boots so fast since I would like a bios prompt and boot is your window to get into bios. In the past I neglected the importance of the motherboard and cheeped out and lost features. So this time, learning from that, I wanted a feature rich fast board. Theres plenty of lanes to shoot information back and forth from the M.2 to the USB to the GPU and CPU and the RAM and back again. an absolute abundance of ports and lanes. with the board design looking good to go as far as heat sinking the VRM, north and south bridges. I think I made the right call, for me, not stepping up to the 670E or down to a B650. And I am once again pleased with the build quality and quality control that MSI has delivered to me. Not a purchase I regret from price or feel like I will regret later from either build failure or realizing I need features.

So it powers on and doesn't show any major errors but I haven't had the opportunity to hook it up to a monitor yet so I can't comment on that. So I guess the product itself is fine. But everything else around this is really weird. The box was slightly damaged, the inside was scuffed up somehow, the box didn't have a seal letting me know its brand new, some capacitors are at odd angles or lifted off the board but still connected, there waa something in the cpu power socket, and the weirdest of all the ENTIRE back of the board is very sticky for some reason? Box damage is reasonable, shipping damage right? The scuffed inside of the box paired with no seal sticker or anything showing that it's not been opened is weird and leads me to believe this is used or refurbished. I don't build computers often but I've never had a motherboard have the capacitors not straight up and down and flush with the board. Whats the stuff in the cpu plug area? Your guess is as good as mine, it came out easy and kind of crumbled away. Dust perhaps? And again WHY IS THE BOARD STICKY? Comments on operation, A-XMP won't work right, I can't access my BIOS on start up and I have to force diagnostic options to get into my BIOS. Like yeah it works but BIOS settings won't stick and I can't find a way to fix it. If you need a mobo with wifi I suppose this works. That's why I'm giving this 3 stars, the product is fine I suppose but everything else about this doesn't feel right.

I have 64g gkill 6000 and this board takes forever to load up. So then they had me flash the bios and the firm malfunctioned. I can boot into bios. I cannot use my mouse and keyboard inside the bios menu. They want me to disconnect everything and reflash the bios. If I travel for work and I’m gone for a week my board takes minutes for the ram and cpu to boot up. This was supposed to be solved with the bios flash. If I increase my ram mhz the board takes so long to boot up and sometimes doesn’t even compute the ram. I’m running 6000mhz at 3600. Sometimes it doesn’t boot back up in sleep mode. The last straw was when I booted up and my keyboard wasn’t working. I had to plug it out. I am returning this board it’s been a serious disaster. If you read reviews across multiple sites, a lot of people have the same issues. When you call them and explain what’s going on, they act like they’ve never heard of this. Even though they have bios updates to fix it. I’m tearing everything apart and installing a asus with a bios flashback option. Update: After speaking to a third technician on February 6, 2023 he was actually very helpful. It turns out the other two technicians didn’t know what they were talking about. I did not have to remove all the components out of the computer to re-flash the bios. There’s also a certain usb slot on my board I needed to plug it in to. It’s a good thing I was talking to him. He told me which slot it was dedicated to. The other two technicians didn’t bother to check, even though I gave them my board information. I guess it matters who you talk to. I’m not updating my rating on the experience I’ve had. I was literally about to return it and I thought let me give it one more try. I would rather get this to work correctly and tear everything out and switch to another board.
