  • Awesome non RGB motherboard!!!
MSI's Unify z690 is one hell of a motherboard First off its black and built like a tank the beefy VRMs are very high quality. Best Z690 you can buy imo. Handles my 12900k beautifully. This board does not have RGB and no video output which is why I bought it lets face it people arent running integrated video with a board like this anyway. Only disadvantage is if you need to use onboard video in which this is an enthusiast board...my point is most enthusiast have at least 2 gpus. The boards feature rich and yes it can have RGB hooked to it. The board just doesnt have flashy leds and such except the temp/boot display. The board maintains very good temps even with the 12900k mid 50s during heavy gaming sessions running AAA games cranked way up. Despite what people tell you the Noctua D15s handles the 12900k fine and fits perfectly on this motherboard no issues. When you choose ram however watch your height with the D15. The board comes with loads of extras as if the board wasnt enough. Fantastic for solid black stealthy builds. The board has a flash back bios button and also has chipset drivers on a mini usb msi drive that comes with mobo. Super pleased MSI you guys owned it thanks ... show more

  • Expensive but worth it
I bought the Z690 Unify because it was one of the few DDR5 motherboards getting good reviews. So far, great product. Box had every wire you may need depending on your setup, and a pretty solid wifi antenna. Instruction book is well laid out, and well written. No bad English in it that I could find. Installed i9-12900KF and 32GB G.Skill DDR5, runs like a champ. ... show more

  • Impressive
The media could not be loaded. I have had this motherboard for over two years now. It has worked flawless with no issues. The only one thing I would recommend is to update the bios right away to make sure you have no overclocking problems.

  • Best board at the price for i9-12900K
I used this board in a build with an i9-12900K and 32GB DDR5. The board is solid, no flimsiness and has some heft. It will hold a heavy GPU without stressing the board at the slot as some cheap boards can do. There are plenty of m.2 slots and all are covered with heatsinks. No fancy RGB lights here. This is just a great board. ... show more

  • Clean and Sleek
Extremely functional, no lack of usb or other connections and plugs are set in easy to access locations given my case layout.

  • Avoid this one
Received two units and both have had the same issues as shown in the provided photos. When receiving and unboxing the first received motherboard, three of the NVME heat sinks were loose and the top one was partially hanging, only held down with one screw. Upon inspection, it had appeared the piece in which the standoffs are attached to have detached from the motherboard. I have shortly after received a replacement unit and upon inspection on this one, it also had the same issue as mentioned before. This time however, it was only on the top NVME slot while the others were perfectly fine. Not sure what to think about this motherboard anymore seeing that this issue has appeared on both original and replacement units. Will not be trying a third time for this motherboard. ... show more

  • Not built for overclocking
The board isn't that bad and offers a decent amount out of the box. If you have no plans on overclocking or just setting all your cores to a specific ratio and overriding the vcore, then you will be fine for the most part. If you do plan to overclock and use the features Intel gave you for overclocking, I would go for ASUS or GIGABYTE. The VF Points 7 - 11 are linked. This will make for high temp all core ratio as you cannot offset anything above 52x without altering the oc ratio vcore. I have my i9-12900k set to 55x on two cores, 54x on 4 cores and 52x on all 8 core workload. With those settings I cannot lower the vcore of the all core ratio without changing the vcore for the 2 core ratio. I have contacted customer support and as of now they have no plans on separating the VF Points. I have returned my board and going with ASUS. ... show more
