The media could not be loaded. This took me like 10 hrs to actually finish everything, all the little accessories were being difficult but I absolutely love the finished product!! The light wires were being tricky using tape so I ended up just glueing them down to keep them in place instead of tape & it worked amazingly! I love that it has a touch sensor, easy to turn on & off. The door to the batteries was another cool idea. Just love everything about this! I’m a bit of an artist who loves to read so this is perfect! Will say that the glue it comes with dries slow so I ended up buying a cheap pack of super glue from dollar store for $1 & it made it easier to put together if you ask me instead of having to wait till something dried in place where I wanted it before I could move onto the next thing. Make sure you glue things where they say as I had some troubles getting the walls on due to glueing certain pieces too close to where the walls connected, but I got it put together & couldn’t be happier with it!! Buy this rn don’t hesitate, such a fun project & a cute little addition to my bookshelf:)))

This was definitely one of the bigger book nook that’s I’ve completed, but it’s still great overall! I appreciated the small hammer and glue that came with the kit. It had easy instructions and there were many extra pieces (in case some broke off).

Caveat: I have not assembled this yet, but I’ve done a *lot* of these over the years, and I’ve encountered every imaginable screw-up (both mine and the manufacturer’s), and this kit has all my dream characteristics. But first, if you are looking for a gift for a child, this is NOT it! *None* of these are, of any brand, even though they all show young children in every listing. These are not toys, but models. The pleasure is in the building, not playing. And even in the customizing, with your own additions you create from beads, dried greenery, extra LEDs, wire, decals, etc. So a smart, patient teenager who likes models would enjoy this, but not a true child. (Also, the estimated times are always too low.) 1. The wood is the very dense, smooth particle board, very heavy, NOT the splintery kind that breaks if you look at it cross-eyed. Like any similar product that is packaged in shrinkwrap, it has a slight smell when opened, but I found it neither overpowering nor long-lasting. 2. The book covers are peel-off and plasticized! Anyone who has done more than one of these knows the misery of cutting out hundreds of tiny book covers. And they are self-adhesive! No struggling to get just the right amount of adhesive, enough to make them stick, but not so much that it squeezes out onto your gloves and makes all the tiny bits stick to your hands. 3. Glue and tools are included. And the glue is not some afterthought, but the one that is always my go-to, with a precision, pinpoint tip. And the tiny rubber mallet is something I didn’t have. 4. Additional items, such as the clear plastic globe with the etched continents, are first quality. 5. The manual may not be perfect, but it is larger than most, and printed on heavy paper, with English. I could actually go on, but I have chores to get done. I was just really excited to examine this kit and realize that it had everything I had wished for while assembling other kits.

This DIY Book Nook Kit has officially made me a miniature world enthusiast! The attention to detail is next-level. Every tiny piece, from the intricate shelves to the endless tiny books (around 200 of them!), makes this kit feel like a real labor of love. The sticker “paper” was a pleasant surprise — it’s actually sticker-based, making assembly way easier. While I do wish the instructions were a bit clearer, the extra supplies helped keep me on track. The one hitch? The clear laminate stickers meant to hold the lights didn’t quite do the job, but a few glue dots worked like magic. Yes, assembling those books individually was a time investment, but the finished look is mesmerizing. If you’re patient and up for a creative project, this is a perfect choice — now a star addition to my bookshelf!

This kit comes with all the necessary tools to put together this mini Hemingway House booknook, including the glue tube which has a needle tip for precision gluing and a small hammering tool for cobbling. It's a fun build yet challenging puzzle to do with a friend. I like that the pieces are thick sturdy cardboard, but careful not to jam the wedges to connect the pieces as some parts are tight. It does not come with 2 AA batteries for the lights.

The media could not be loaded. I'm a veteran book nook builder now, and when I come across a new brand, I'm always interested to see what the experience will be. I will definitely be looking for more CCCDF book nooks. One of my biggest requirements for purchasing a book nook kit is that it come with a dust cover. This one did, and that's what first caught my eye. I fell in love with the little details like the piano, the cello, and the bird cage. I enjoyed the freedom to line the shelves with the books in my own style. Assembling the books was super easy because this set comes with stickers instead of papers you have to cut and glue. I did that once with a set, and I do not wish to make that mistake again. I was so happy this one had stickers. You'll need a steady hand in several places. Some of the pieces are quite fragile, and I did break a few. Unfortunately, my hands aren't always that steady. Fortunately, it was nothing a little glue couldn't fix. Just be ready to take your time. I do appreciate the color manual as well. While not all of the directions are clear, I was about to figure out what was necessary the couple of times I got stuck. Overall, the details made this a perfect addition to my shelf. I love the magical vibe these book nooks add!
