  • Works great on AM3 processors like the AMD Phenom II 1055T X6
Style: MAG CORELIQUID P240 Size: 240mm
I have a 1055T overclocked to 3.6gHz that is surprisingly not showing any signs of degradation after all these years of being overclocked, but it was moved to a small case where I could only fit a small CPU cooler on it. The idle temps were at 56°C and would regularly approach the 67°C tjMax, and sometimes even shutdown from overheating. So I bought this MSI cooler because A) comes with socket AM3 hardware B) good performance without being overpriced C) no annoying RGB disco lights. Installation was easy, the radiator easily fit within even a small case like the Raidmax Blazar ATX Mid Tower, AM3 mounting was super easy and secure (don't forget YOU MUST DOWNLOAD THE INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS, there's a link on the product page), and there was plenty of options for how to power the radiator fans. The cooler operates very quietly, and most importantly, my idle temps went down to 32°C, and my max temps (under Prime95 maximum heat stress test) hit 56°C - the former idle temps! Under normal load the max it's hitting is 48°C, a very nice improvement. I will update if I run into any issues. ... show more

  • Keeps my CPU cool
Style: MAG CoreLiquid 240R V2 Size: 240mm
MSI knocked this product out of the park. It looks good, works great and was the best bang for the buck for me. Very quiet fans, that run slow and only get going when I am full on gaming. But even then it doesn’t get loud. Install was easy, lots of parts included in the box for various CPU/Motherboard combos to mount it. The box doesn’t say it works with AM5 boards, but it does. ... show more

  • Easy Instillation
Style: MAG CoreLiquid 240R V2 White Size: 240mm
First time installing an AIO so I wanted to make sure I got something that was not too complicated. After hours of research I came across this and ultimately went with it after looking up specs and what not. I had a smaller case so I really am bound to a 240mm AIO. It is cooling a i9-12000k and it does a great job. havent seen it thermal throttle yet (but it should be known my GPU is an extreme bottleneck in this system so the CPU def never gets to full utilization((getting upgraded soon will update after.)) There is a bit of a noise to the pump but it is nothing crazy to me. But i almost always have headphones on or noise coming from monitor speaker around my pc. Instillation was very easy as the LGA 1700 bracket was included. I did watch a video on how to install as there are no instructions lol. I just googled it and used the first video that came up. I think if you have experience with these things it would be pretty straight forward. Overall very happy with it, i feel like its fairly quiet and the rgb is cool. the software is a little clunky, but then again i've never seen a good UI from a rgb program let's be real lol. I would recommend this to anyone and would buy it again. ... show more

  • Very easy to install but may be tricky for new PC builders.
Style: MAG CORELIQUID P240 Size: 240mm
This AiO is excellent. It comes with socket support for both Intel and AMD (AM4+5.) Whilst it comes with no instructions, it's fairly straightforward to install, and the official listing for this product includes an installation video. Once installed, it has run very well and quiet, and has kept my CPU at 50-60 degrees Celsius with no issues during an intensive load. The piping is well made and flexible, but still sturdy, and includes more than enough spare screws and socket pieces that they can be used elsewhere in a build if necessary. In short, a very good AiO for the price! Just wish it came with instructions to avoid initial confusion. ... show more

  • Amazing low-profile liquid cooler
Style: MAG CORELIQUID P240 Size: 240mm
For the ones who want a slick, solid cooler without making your PC an 80s disco, this is the one for you! Had to remove the CPU bracket in order to, very carefully, mount the cooler on top of the CPU but even with a slight overclock, this cooler does a great job at well, cooling! No issues of as of now. ... show more

  • Great liquid cooling
Style: MAG CORELIQUID P240 Size: 240mm
Wonderful liquid cooling. Had a arctic 120 prior, and this performs just as if not better than the arctic. Has pump and fan headers, with a splitter. Comes with various LGA sockets. Including LGA 1700. I use the AM4. Easy install, seems future proof. One issue is that the pump does make noise on the first startup (likely air). Other than that, no issue. Quiet as can be, I think my mechanical keyboard (with polar 2.0 browns) is louder... a cat purring is louder. I just wish they had links to the software outside the BIOS ... show more

  • It stopped cooling after 2 weeks.
Style: MAG CoreLiquid 240R V2 Size: 240mm
A lot of reviews criticize the fact that the pump is integrated into the radiator and not the cooling block. The pump should always be at the lowest point possible to eliminate the possibility of air pockets which will keep the pump from doing its intended job. I took a chance on it anyway since MSI usually makes something rather well. This was a mistake. It seemed to work "OK" for a couple of weeks, then all of the sudden as I'm playing Cyberpunk, I hear the PC fans ramp up to wide open and the monitor gets super jittery and eventually the PC shut down since the CPU was getting too hot. I'm very glad for the fact that it shut down automatically. I thought it might be a fluke, so I let everything cool down for a few hours and I tried again and I'd get about 30 minutes of game play and it would overheat again. I ended up returning it and getting an AIO with the pump built into the cooling block. Not everyone seems to have this issue, but I did so I had to go with a different option. ... show more

  • Overall good cooler
Style: MAG CoreLiquid 240R V2 Size: 240mm
barely fit my case as the radiator was touching my RAM sticks. Overall cools to a good degree. My AM5 7600x was resting at 50-60c with peaks nearing 100 with my older single fan water cooler so I got this one. Now it's about 38-40c at rest and has only ever reached the upper 80s with heavier loads. Still hotter than I'm used to but that is the nature of the AM5 chips. When the fan speed is nearing max you can hear the air move but it's not loud, just there. No annoying whine or anything like that. I ended of using Arctic 6 thermal paste just because. This cooler did come with its own paste but was not pre-applied. Some reviews said there was paste others stated there wasn't. To be clear, mine did come with a syringe type applicator with enough for probably 2 or so applications. The LEDs look nice and my Gigabyte 650 recognizes them well and coordinates them with the other LEDs. On a small note, the water cooler block is rotatable but only the LED part. You can't rotate the part where the tubing goes in. So the rotation is for aesthetics only. ... show more
