This is a wonderful quality Bimini set. I had a local Marina install it for me. They said the instructions were good for the first one that they had installed. I had this installed on our 23 foot Bennington Pontoon. My wife and I removed the original Bimini set and that was not difficult. The color of the top and cover match perfectly and the sturdy, black frame looks really sharp. To now simply back out from under our Shore Station and push a button to raise the Bimini, rather than wrestling with the Original heavy Bimini is pure luxury ! No more pinched fingers. Do yourself a favor, treat yourself to this summertime pleasure for relaxed cruising on your pontoon. Aa you come home to your Shore Station you simply push the down button and it all comes comfortably back in to place. Plus, your neighbors will be dripping with Envy ! :>) Really a well made system.

The media could not be loaded. Just got this power Bimini installed. Only used a couple of times but so far, I’m delighted. Deploys and stows quickly. Depress the remote twice and everything from then on is automatic. So much easier than climbing over guests and seats on your pontoon or leaving the helm to raise or lower the top. No folding of support brackets. Saves your shoulders too.

Died after only a few months and not more than 2 dozen operations. The circuit board blew an electrical component. Warranty replacement has been very slow and is still not received. Meanwhile, the awning is stuck in an intermediate position. As an added frustration, the tech support insisted I needed to download the app on my phone, despite having acknowledged seeing the photo of the blown electrical component.

I purchased this 3 years ago and it is working great and I absolutely love it. Installation a little difficult in determining exactly where to place mounting to insure it is out of the way when down position, yet gives you coverage when it is opened. It is so much safer than trying open a typical manual Bimini where you risk pinning fingers, etc. I have a full canopy boatlift and must be care to insure Bimini Cover is collapsed when entering the boat lift and when raising the lift if the Bimini was raised while on the lift doing boat maintenance our cleaning, etc. (Use Caution)

The media could not be loaded. My biggest complaint is that there need to be installation instructions included or posted here. I purchased the stand-alone battery pack version and had to search for a video that presented a decent wiring diagram. A simple schematic would have saved much time. The plastic actuator end cap did not fit into the actuator housing without major filing. I spent some time repairing the actuator power lines that were damaged in shipping. The product is sold in 2 versions one requires a 12-volt switch to be tapped into your control counsel using the boat's battery, and the other is a separate 18-volt battery pack with a switch module built into the actuator. The switch is labeled it supports both 12 & 18 volts. You could skip the battery pack and wire the switch directly to a 12-volt source. The product should be offered in this configuration as it would be the simplest install. Now that we have it installed it is a great upgrade to our toon.

We love this top! It is so much easier than the old manual top. Vinyl is thinner than the original top on a 1996 Premier 20' pontoon. But it's just as strudy. I would definitely consider the optional speed kit if you are installing on a fast pontoon. But, at 20mph on the water, it's awesome.

I got it mounted and I do like the overall product. But, here is a list of issues that I have with this bimini. 1- Pathetic packaging by manufacturer. Bars rub each other during shipping and damage to finish is easily visible. 2- Directions are as bad as the packaging. On one step, warning circle covers up what you are not supposed to do. Steps are skipped and they back track multiple times. But, the worse part is the wiring schematic. If you get remote option, the color wiring instructions are not used. A single folded piece of paper that comes with the controller that has a diagram drawn by a intern. They don't list wire color, instead you are supposed to pry the caps of each motor to confirm what color wire is ran to each positive terminal. 3- Controller and remote for wireless remote system is not waterproof or even water resistant. You can see the uncoated circuit board through several openings in controller housing. And this is intended for boats. 3- No protection for wires where they exit the aluminum housing. The machined notch has sharp edges and wires already had chaffing when received. Additionally, they do not make left and right motor unit. Thus, wire exits on same side of motor housing on both sides. Minor issue, but for this price it's aggravating. End result. The quality and lack of details of this bimini top makes this product over priced. It should be sold for no more than $850. It has no competition on the market and it seems like they are taking full advantage of this. I like the top, but the current version build quality does not match the premium price point.
