  • Great upgrade.
Style: GeForce RTX 5080 16G GAMING TRIO OC
I upgraded from an rtx 2060. FYI, I also did upgrade my power supply from a 650w to 1000w just to be on the safe side. For what I previously had this was a major upgrade, and I am loving it.

  • 5080 is all you need for high end gaming (maybe some light work on the side)
Style: GeForce RTX 5080 16G SUPRIM LIQUID SOC
Let me start by saying the 5080 is really all anyone needs for pure gaming. The RTX 5090 is an entry level workstation card similar to the old TITAN cards. The 90 series is for people who use their PC to work and game. If you're not using your PC to make money, go for the 80 class cards. Games get ZERO benefit from the 32GB of ram on the 5090 and it's wasted silicon that just sits there and wastes power if all you do is game. The 5080 SHOULD'VE shipped with 24GB, to give it a little more longevity, but 16GB is sufficient for just about every game currently on the market as of writing. What can I say about this MSI Suprim Liquid model. It is fast and quiet, as easy as any other GPU to install (make sure you have space to mount the AIO before purchase,) and really looks lovely. The GPU and high speed GDDR7 stay remarkably cool under load. Is the price premium worth it over a base model 5080? Not really. Especially not for the prices scalpers are trying to charge for them. The 5080 is definitely NOT worth more than it's $1000 MSRP, and any "overclocked" card definitely isn't worth more than $1000 either. The same clocks these overpriced overclocked models hit can be achieved with a basic 5080 using MSI Afterburner (or insert favorite OC tool here) in almost all cases. If you want a card like this with an integrated AIO or something, that's the only type worth more than the base MSRP as they come with a cooler that can keep things quiet while keeping the temps low, and that radiator and copper block add to the production cost. $1300 or less is the mark I'd set for these type of liquid cooled cards. They really aren't worth more than that. If you're just doing mostly gaming with maybe some light work on the side then the RTX 5080 really is the best card on the market for that. It plays everything I've tried at high levels of fidelity at a decent price. $1000 kinda sucks as an MSRP, wish it were cheaper, and the prices scalpers charge make it completely insane to even consider. If you can find one for MSRP in this market, or one with an AIO for $1300 or less, it's a no brainer purchase for those who have the budget for this card in their build. It should be a solid performer for 4-5 years easy before it might need to be replaced. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THESE CARDS FROM SCALPERS THINKING YOU HAVE TO HAVE ONE BECAUSE YOU SAW A 5080 OR 5090 IN A STREAM!!! If you can currently get by with what you have, do NOT pay scalper prices!!! I beg you!!! It is not worth that kind of money and you will end up regretting the purchase!!! ... show more

  • Great graphics cards with some QC issues
Style: GeForce RTX 5080 16G GAMING TRIO OC
Great card , with some QC issues ( but better than ASUS, ZOTAC). -Manufacturing issues and damaged heat pipes with chips to backplate , if you ever get any manufacturing defects swap it out for a new one ASAP ( this did affect the cooling of the gpu) however 4 times in a row of damage heat pipes and backplates ( visible chipping on back plate out of the box is concerning especially when paying over grand for a high end product. 1000+ usd. Luckily my 5 th card is clean and running fine temperature wise maintains under 75C in the most demanding of titles. 4k 120 and 4k 240 , 1440 120 fps . Are the resolutions i tested with the card No upscaling used for the framerates of 120-165 , though anything higher you need frame gen to be active ... show more

  • Pro y Contra
Style: GeForce RTX 5080 16G GAMING TRIO OC
... show more
