  • Great Upgrade, Even From a 3080
Great card, if you have the space for it. Yes, it doesn't have the highest power draw limit when compared to other brands, however the cooler on it performs and looks great. I run it with a mild power limit reduction, because I'm okay loosing a few FPSes for reduced heat output. I've noticed a drastic reduction in ambient temps in my room, coming from a 3080, and it's noticably quieter while gaming. The fans don't even kick in while playing some light games! Assuming you have the budget for it, I believe it's a worthwhile upgrade from a 3000 series GPU because of the much lower power consumption of this card. I've attaced a screenshot of my Afterburner settings and the mem OC that's been running stable for me for months. ... show more

  • One of the best RTX 4090 on the market
The media could not be loaded. This is the rolls Royce of graphics cards. 100 FPS playing Cyberpunk 2077 path tracing? Yes please. To give you an idea of how impressive that is, back in the day path tracing rendering use to take HOURS or DAYS to render ONE frame of picture. This card can render 100 FRAMES a SECOND. Make sure you buy a GPU anti sag because this thing is huge and it WILL sag. It does include an anti sag out of the box but it’s flimsy at the base and it looks really ugly. It also comes with the necessary cables but I decided to use a 600W cable from my be quiet PSU. It works like a charm. Great benchmark numbers, over 30k on port royal without messing around with overclocking. Fans are never noisy but generates a ton of heat when gaming. Best value for performance in the 40 series card. ... show more

  • Awesome product
Works as advertised and looks superb. Came with a free mousepad so that was just a cherry on top. Also comes with a GPU holder to prevent sag which was unexpected but greatly appreciated.

  • Its a beast
This card pretty much obliterates every game you throw at it. It makes for a great gpu for video editing as well. Price - Its a bit expensive to purchase just for gaming imo when lesser cards like the 4080 or 7900 xtx does an excellent job as well. But if you are a creator, this card is worth the asking price. ... show more

  • Excellent cooling, Excellent Folding, Excellent Gaming, Excellent all around
You know what this card is and what it can do.... if not then go read some reviews. But here's a spoiler....As far as gaming goes, The only way you're going to get your money's worth out of this card is if you have a high refresh rate 4k or 21:9 1440p monitor. This card is so fast that even the best CPU will bottleneck it, unless you play at 4k, and even then some games will still bottleneck the CPU. IMO, the 4090 proves these processors need to be revised for Gaming workloads. I've gotten my hands on quite a few high end cards over these last few years. So far this is the only card I've come across that doesn't need a fan curve set to keep Hot Spot temperatures in check. Sure, the power usage will spike beyond 400w but the Hot Spot temps still stay within reason. The normal GPU temps make the card look like it's at half load, when it's not. I'm not just impressed by the temps, I'm tickled. VRAM temperatures also stay within reason. Folding at Home performance is unrivaled. With Linux you can expect up to 21mil PPD and +16-20mil PPD with Windows. I thought the 3080ti, 3090, and even the 3080 were Folding monsters but the 4090 is on higher level. However, if you don't set the folding preference to Alzheimer's, then the card will fold other workloads that aren't quite as intensive, and you will get less points. Maybe the 4090 is the breakthrough Seniors need. ... show more

  • The most powerful GPU I ever had
I was reluctant to buy a GPU from MSI. I use to have other preferences like EVGA or ASUS. But the shortage of the stock forced me to purchase the best I could when I decided to buy a new GPU. I must say It was a nice surprise. The card is built like a tank, it's quiet, runs cold, and looks beautiful. Alluminum backplate and details don't look cheap and they are sober. In comparison the Strix looks so colorful which I don't really like. The only problem about this GPU is the pigtail cable included (same one with any other 4090). I didn't want to use it and had to find something better that made me feel secure. If you're on the same boat and are thinking about Cablemod, please do not buy straight from their website or you probably will have to wait over one month for a cable that is also available from Amazon. And yes the 16-pin to Triple 8-pin it's enough to power this card and you can have it in less than one week. Just make shure you order the right one for your PSU. ... show more

  • Failed after a month, now in RMA
Failed after a month. MSI does not provide free shipping to send the card over to them. RMA takes 4+ weeks it seems from their policies descriptions. Not happy to have to pay for a shipping to return a broken, over-priced GPU and be out of my rig for a full month while it is getting fixed.
