  • 3070 RMA'd Graphical Artifacts after 1 Week!
Gaming was great for the first week. 2k resolution ultra settings at 144fps. Played Destiny 2, Doom Eternal, Path of Exile. Everything looked great and was buttery smooth. On day 7 of receiving the card, I started getting graphical artifacts when entering bios. Card was sent off for repairs.

  • Good card
Background: Updating from a 1070TI to a 3070. I can now run everything in Ultra, 1440P. COD-Warzone Fortnite Metro Exodus World of Warcraft League of Legends Call of Duty Witcher 3 No issues with unexpected crashes like you see on the 3080's. I tested the heat in my computer and the card runs cooler than the 1070TI. 3 fans, and the card is quite. I would never pay more than retail for any of the 3070's. People complain about the back plate of this card but it does not get hot. My only complain is there are no LED lighting on the card. ... show more

  • Sounds like a vaccuum cleaner. Runs hot. Bad service
READ BEFORE BUYING THIS CARD I was "lucky" enough to get this card at MSRP. Don't believe the reviews you read that say this card runs quiet and 60-75c. Mine runs at 85-90C (!!) with 5 case fans in a high airflow case. I don't even want to know what would happen in a poor airflow case. My previous GPU ran at 65C in the same setup. The 3070 Ventus sounds like a vacuum cleaner and occasionally like a screaming animal. Maybe that is why their logo is a dragon. I have to undervolt it to the point that it loses performance before I can get it to not sound like a vacuum cleaner and also not melt. And even then it's pretty bad. I thought maybe I had a dud so... I sent the card for RMA after calling MSI. They were kind enough to pay for the RMA because they said the temps might affect the longevity of the card. BUT THEY JUST SENT THE SAME CARD BACK TO ME WITHOUT FIXING IT. AVOID MSI CARDS Horrible experience. Horrible quality product. ... show more

  • Got at MSRP. Big Card. Big frames. Big cooling. No RGB.
Got the card at around MSRP at $575. I would've preferred a cheaper one (like the mythical founders edition), but in this economy, what can ya do? Installation was... interesting. First card that I've ever installed and MSI doesn't hold your hand. This card requires two 8 pin connectors. This card comes with no adapters. Just the bracket. My PSU wasn't prepared for that, despite being 750 bronze, because it didn't have an 8 pin adapter. My previous card was a 1060 which took one 8pin. I didn't know what to do. Tried to call MSI for guidance. They didn't pick up. Ideally, I know, I should use two separate cables. What I did was use two 6pins and two 2pins. And it worked! This card is beefy. It is thick. It is extra large and extra hard. Be sure to have enough space. The three fans make this thing very long and therefore the bracket is probably a must. No RGB. If you like your PC to be full of color, this card isn't for you. This card has no color. Not even the name lights up. Superficial things aside, the card is perfect. Very quiet even with all fans full blast. Build quality is solid. Nothing feels cheap. Now the gaming. This card gets huge frames. It's a 3070. You know the specs. If you don't, Google it. Almost playable frames on Crysis Remastered on Can it Run Crysis mode. Value for money is ok. I don't think its any better than a $499 one. The extra $100 is just for the fans if you're into them. Warmth is fine? It's not over heating. Fans do their job. Thickness is thick. It's thick. But it should fit most setups according to MSI's website. This review is 10 days after installation. If anything changes, I'll let you know. ... show more

  • Amazing Graphics card
Great for the price!

  • Good thermals, silent, good performer.
Nothing to complain about this card. Packaging is basic and doesn't include any fancy stuff besides the sag bracket, and the card itself doesn't have RGB (if you care about it) but it works really well and after undervolting a bit for the sake of it, works cool and quiet all the time. Nothing else to say about a 3070 cos you know they are all good. Try to get the non OC version to get even better value tho. ... show more
