  • upgraded an AMD Ryzen 5 APU
Just in case anyone else is planning the same thing: I have been running a Ryzen 5 2400 APU, with no graphics card. It did pretty well and I could play most games on moderate settings. I chose the 1650 video card because it has pretty low power consumption and was not too expensive. I bought a refurbished one. It said no additional power cable was required, but that's not the case. It has a six-pin socket like many PCI-E cards do. It installed and booted with no trouble. It took about 10 minutes for my PC to automatically find, download, and install the new driver (I did nothing). The APU automatically saw and used the new card. Aaand....Whammo! Every game I have now runs at 60+ fps. What a difference! I never knew it, but I was running under 30 fps on many games. My battery backup says the power load is the same as before. It could be that it takes the same amount of power as the Ryzen GPU, which is no longer used. It might draw slightly more at max load, but in any case you're looking at roughly the same power consumption as with Vega 11 integrated graphics. It's beautiful. Highly recommended for gamers not wanting to spend a fortune on a rig. Note: The refurbished ones do not even come with an anchoring screw. Most of us have a spare one, but in case you don't, you'll want one or two. ... show more

  • Works great! It let me play the games I want.
Before I get this graphics card I had a GTX 960 that unfortunately broke, so I got this, and it works perfectly. Nothing was broken or damaged It’s quiet and it came with the thank you card. I do wish I didn’t take power from the motherboard and could be plugged into my PC power supply but all in all it’s a good GPU. 9.5/10 ... show more

  • Very good card and package
The graphics card arrived in perfect condition, it is new and its packaging is very resistant and well protected. From the first moment it worked perfectly. Good level of fps in performance tests and low energy consumption, it does not need to be connected directly to the power source. I'm not going to use it for gaming, only for video editing in Adobe premiere, the results in the renders were more than acceptable. Excellent value for money (U$S155 at the time of purchase), I recommend. ... show more

  • Good Graphics Card for Casual Gaming, but.
The card runs great, I upgraded from a 760, to a 1650, This graphics card is good for a temporary upgrade, but for long time use, not so good.

  • CHECK BOTTLENECK CALCULATOR :D
i got this for my pc and it works great!! i wasn't aware of what bottlenecking was and now 2 months later i do!! (it basically means gpu is too weak for cpu, minimizing gpu and overall performance) this gpu is great if you're not playing gpu heavy games (which i do.) i currently have a ryzen 5600x cpu which is waaayyyy too strong for this gpu. i wish i would've known about the bottleneck before i purchased! if you're not gaming this is a perfect budget gpu but for those who are gaming please check a calculator and do your research before purchasing anything :D ... show more

  • Good low budget GPU
I got this card because I needed a low power GPU for some light/medium gaming. It works well for that and you can expect the performance about that of a GTX 970 but without the crazy power draw of a 970. It does not require a PCIe power connector from the PSU and draws power directly from the PCIe slot which is great! It's paired with a Ryzen 1600AF at the moment and while it's probably not the best match for the CPU I'm pretty happy with how the performance turned out. Don't expect amazing performance out of it but it's also not bad either. As an example, I was able to get No Man's Sky running on the "Enhanced" graphics preset at a pretty acceptable frame rate. Eyeballing it I would say it was around 30 - 50 FPS depending on what was going on. Not acceptable for some people I'm sure, but certainly not unplayable if it's all you had. ... show more

  • All good as described
Pretty good for anyone with an OEM PC that can't use a graphics card with power 6 or 8 pins

  • Great for a computer with a low wattage, power supply
I purchased the GPU card because the new AI photo editing software REQUIRE a GPU, which my old editing software did not. BUT, my Dell has a LOW wattage power supply, and it is difficult to upgrade the power supply. So I needed a graphics processor card that did NOT need additional power beyond the PCIe buss power. This card solved the problem. It was worrying because ALL the descriptions on the MSI and various other sites lead me to believe that this card needed the additional power. When it arrived, it did NOT have the additional power connector. It would run just with just the buss power. I bought the GDRR6 card, but as it turned out, for MY purposes of photo editing (individual pictures), NOT gaming (continuous video), I probably could have used the cheaper GDRR5 card and saved some money, and not noticed any performance difference. Because I am using it for photo editing, I am not using the GPU hard, and it has been working just fine. ... show more
