I am 61 - exactly today - and I did not think I was going to like this. I thought it would be too young or too playful. Well, color me pleasantly surprised. Not everyone has the same body chemistry but I will say that, if you like Juicy Gold or Bon Bon, this is in that family - not a sibling but maybe a 1st cousin Fancy is a mildly sweet, caramelized fruit that isn't sickly sweet. And this perfume smells more expensive than it is. I can honestly say that I like this a lot better than the D&G fragrance I bought this week. I wish I had known how good this would smell on me before I wasted money on the other scent. Oh well. I wasn't sure what to expect from the name but a friend knows that I like sweet & amber-vanilla perfumes so... Once it dries down, Fancy is not too sweet but it has some caramel and cashmere-vanilla to it. There are some really faint floral notes that keep the gourmands from being too sugary. What a surprise to know that there is some sandalwood and gardenia in here. That gives it a teeny tiny bit of a musk scent. When I first sprayed this on, I expected to have to wait 10 to 30 minutes for it to settle in. Nope. It goes on with a little bit of sharp floral but, after maybe a short couple of minutes, it was developed to the base notes and did not change until it almost faded completely away. That's when I got a lot of the powdery smell and some faint amber leftovers. Nice. Another thing I like about this is that it does last. It doesn't have "eternal" longevity, but it was still quite noticeable after about 8 or 9 hours and the skin scent was present when I went to bed. On someone with younger/healthier skin, I imagine this would be eternal. I won't have to spend so much money now on Juicy Gold or some of my other rare indulgences. This is perfect. By the way, the bottle is cute in a (no-frills kind of way) but the sprayer is stubborn. I have to push down hard to spritz the perfume. That could be just on this bottle like it was set too tightly or something. I noticed the lid was knocked off when I unwrapped & opened the sealed box. So far, I have this and Fantasy Intimate by Britney and I am not a fan of their celebrity work but these young gals are on point with the perfumes. Who knew? I like this more than Fantasy because this is a bit sweeter but both are really good. And, no, this is not an "old lady" smelling scent.
