Does what is says it will and does it well!! Lets you reverse your lens and still control aperture and get all EXIF data in your RAW files for lens correction in Lightroom/ACR I've been using this with a 50mm 1,4 Prime lens stopped down to between f9.0-f16 (for the sharpest images and depth of field balance). Paired with a Canon 430 EX II flash and a LumiQuest on flash 8x10 softbox diffuser I get some stellar hand held super macro images. Being able to fill the frame of my 80D with the whole subject gives ridiculous amounts of detail except for the outer edges of the image which do fall off into softness. Still the overall image quality is better than my dedicated Canon 100mm Macro 2.8 USM with or without extension tubes. It is making Macro Photography a blast! The only downside is how close you need to get to your subject, but that's part of the fun to me. ... show more

Let me start out by saying, this item is great idea. It opens up the world of macro photography without spending a ton of money on a dedicated macro lens. The build quality it top notch. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the fact that the coiled cord is too short and puts undue tension on the lens which messes with focusing. The cord itself is also very stiff so that adds to the problem. If they would add about another inch or so to the cord and maybe reduce the gauge of the wire by 1, then it would warrant a 5 star review. I haven't tested it in the field yet, so we'll see. ... show more

Absolutely horrible. To say that quality control is really bad would be an understatement. Mounted it up to my 5D Mark II, mounted a 50mm f/1.4, snapped a picture and immediately got the Connection Error. No big deal, I’ve seen this before. Popped the lens and mount off, cleaned contacts with a soft toothbrush (the were SATURATED in machine oil) and put the lens back on. Aperture control didn’t work, snapped another photo, another error. This time it’s started smelling like cat urine and it never worked again. I ended up taking the mounts apart and removing the electronics. I found that ALL of the electronics had been melted. Definitely don’t buy this. Ever. ... show more

Works as described AND it is absolutely amazing that such a high quality, precision machined product could be sold at such a dirt cheap price!! If you’re thinking about getting it- grab it! (I am a lifelong camera enthusiast and a retired mechanical/electrical engineer).

Easily connects to the camera & lens, although the lens is recognized by the camera (EOS 90D), thw auto, focus does not wok.

It does a fantastic job! Only wish they made a few more variations for longer lenses, but it works like a charm! Auto focus, auto exposure are flawless. All you need now is something small to photograph!
