We purchased 4 of these biometric gun safes. These were replacements for some other bio safes from a well known “gun vault” vendor that became unreliable. I like that you have to register your finger prints multiple times, from multiple angles, to ensure the safe operates in those adrenaline spiked situations. We have them strategically located around the house to ensure easy access to fire power. We have one at the front door, one in the garage, and two secured to our nightstands. That may seem like overkill, but are a retired law enforcement family, and guns have been a part of our lives for a very long time. If you have minors in the house, these safes are a must have. They provide an adequate level of safety, security and home defense all at your fingertip (s). Additionally, you have the option to utilize the keys or keypad to access the safe in those less stressful moments. I have only owned them a few months, but I test them at least weekly, and they have performed flawlessly. In this crazy world we live in, personal safety just keeps getting more difficult. This was a gift for my spouse and he, WE, both love it! It came with the tools to mount it and we programmed it to accept both his fingerprint and mine to access our pistol. Just ensure you place your finger consistently each time you try to open or it will lock you out and make noise until you open with the key or digit code. Extremely durable and seems to be made of high quality steel. Set up was easy and fast with both the fingerprint and digital code. Love that it comes with 2 emergency keys and USBC port to use with an external power source.

Great safe great idea sturdy practical and good looks. The only problem is the finger prints don’t always register and if you think about it this is the main purpose in a stressful situation. But u can always go to the code which Is fast.
