I have been in the market for a smaller gun safe to keep in my closet and came across this. I am very impressed with the quality and the safety features. It is very sturdy for its size and is super secure when bolted into the wall. The passcode system is very clean and easy to use and I appreciate that I can make my passcode either short or long. The locking mechanism is very sturdy as well. I also like how padded the inside is, making sure that my guns to not lay against hard metal. I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband. Here is our review so far… Pros: install was easy and we used the provided lag bolts. They appear to be efficient at securing the safe it to the wall (though we did not actually use them all). The door secures and opens easily. The lock works well using any of the three entry options. The foam pieces are easily removable so that’s convenient. The ammo boxes in the door (pictured) could easily be fitted next the other boxes on the top shelf which would leave room for more ammo boxes or magazines. For a small safe it’s rather impressive at this price point. Cons: It’s a small safe. Like other reviews warned, it does not house as advertised. We were able to fit a tall Benelli shotgun, a standard AR-15, and a handgun along with the ammo pictured. However, we had to precision fit them so the door would close which meant the two long guns were turned to accommodate the scope on the rifle and the length of the shotgun. The top shelf was advertised as removable but that was easier said than done so we left it as is and still made it work. The pistol pocket is really only usable if you have an extremely small handgun. My husband ultimately chose not to use it for his though if positioned *just* right the door would close. The lag bolts stick out into the cavity of the safe about 1 knuckle deep so that may play into how things fit depending on what you put in there. It didn’t much bother us though. ... show more

Be aware this safe is not that big however, it does get the job especially for the price. It is perfect size to put inside of a closet or in a small room. It is very unstable but it should be expected with its dimensions and luckily it comes with bolts to put into the floor or the wall.

UPDATE!!! to my review below: It perfectly fit to my closet, right? Just wait for it...Just now, I brought my things from storage and I tried to fit my rifles, alright hardly could fit 2 when it was shown on the product's page that 3 would fit. Pistols? Good luck, to the pocket you try to add a standard size pistole, you can't close the door. On the upper part instead of 2-3 pistols maybe you can place 1 if you are lucky enough. Whoever designed this, never saw any weapon before... As you can see from my photo we have kids, and we wanted an extra security so they can’t touch my weapons. I was looking for a safe for a while and I chose this one as it seemed pretty narrow so I could fit it in my closet but it seemed big enough to store all my weapons. It's fine to keep one long gun away from kids. There is enough space inside to keep my shotgun. If I'll try I may be able to put another rifle inside. Not more. But there are few cons. You can't turn of the keys beeping sound. So forget about quietly taking your home defense weapon. You will beep loudly. Pistol bag is completely useless. Even sub-compact gun is sticking out too much and you can't close the door with the gun in the bag. The door is very wobbly and clunky. So overall - its a good metal box with lock. But don't expect "gun safe" quality. ... show more

I’ll start with the complaints. * When the door is shut there’s a slight wiggle, which makes it feel a bit cheaper. I could easily fix this though by adding a rubber seal around where the door shuts. * The back of the doors depth is quite large which makes me believe if I was to have more inside it would struggle to shut. The good: * Was very easy to mount to the wall, although I didn’t use the provided anchors they have four mounting holes pre cut in the back and on the bottom of the safe making it easy to mark and drill into the wall. * I have an M&P shield 9 2.0 and an M&P15 Sport ll AR, they fit very well in here. It’s nice having a holster pocket on the door and a cubby right above it for loaded mags for the 9mm within reach. * The top shelf above the rifle is nice, would hold 100rd boxes of ammo, some mags, whatever you need. * It’s very easy to change the combination, just click the red button inside of the safe and type a new code. And like most other safes, there’s a backup battery plug in and a key hole for entry if all fails. I’m super happy, I got it on sale for $219 and couldn’t ask for more for the money I spent.
