I got this smaller gun safe as a gift for a buddy who just started his collection. He did not need a giant cabinet, so this two-gun setup fit the bill. It is compact enough to slide into a closet but still heavy enough that it feels secure. The design is plain and simple, nothing flashy, but that is kind of the point with something like this. The keypad makes it quick to get inside if he needs to, and there are keys as backup which is a lifesaver if the battery gives out. Inside there is just enough space for a couple rifles and a pistol or two, plus a little shelf for smaller stuff. It is not roomy, but it is built more for security than storage. My friend liked that it keeps things neat and in one place instead of lying around. There are a couple minor cons though. The shelf feels a little cheap and will not hold much weight, so it is better for ammo or small gear. Also, fitting in rifles with big scopes can be a squeeze, so you have to be careful how you position them. Other than that, it does what it is meant to do. Overall, I think it was a solid gift. My buddy said he feels better knowing his stuff is locked up safe but still easy to grab if he needs it. It is not a high-end safe, but for someone just starting out or with only a couple firearms, it is the right size and does the job. I would buy it again for another friend in the same spot.

Good value at the price, but read the specs and measure carefully before you buy

This is what I expected it to be and has the expected limitations. Read the specs and measure before you buy it. I consider this a good value for the money, but know what you are buying. This is listed as a 2-gun safe and it clearly states that you must turn the rifle sideways if you have an optic or scope for it to fit. The dimensions are also accurate, so if you measure your rifle, you get a good idea of whether it is a good fit. I purchased this because I needed a basic case that could hold a single standard AR-style rifle with CA-mandated short mags, an optic, and light. This works well for that purpose. It would be hard for me to fit a second long gun in there, especially another one with an optic. I did measure and a standard mag in the gun would fit, but it would be a little tight. This is a basic case. It is nothing special, but it works. This is a rifle cabinet, not a rifle safe. The measurements are accurate, so you know that any pistol other than a subcompact won’t fit the way the pistols are pictured in the images. And three long guns? Not likely, even if none had optics. I’m not sure that even subcompacts would fit in the shelf, but I had no expectation that they would and have no need for that. The pistol holder in the door is small, but it fits my compact carry pistol well enough. A full-size pistol would probably be a problem. The trays in the door are small. I cannot fit my ready belt (pistol holster, mag carrier, and light) in this case along with the rifle in a way that does not tangle them. The shelves are fine for a couple of extra short-capacity CA mags, but it would be a tighter fit with standard mags. I needed one standard AR with an optic to fit in a CA-DOJ compliant container. It does fit and the cabinet meets the CA-DOJ standards. Given the price, I consider this a good value-for-money purchase.

Oh boy, where to begin? Firstly, this safe is LIGHT; I could easily pick it up and move it as you would a smaller brick safe. Secondly, the door has no seams and rattles in its frame when shut, leaving gaps as it sways. Thirdly, THE DOOR WEIGHS MORE THAN THE ENTIRE SAFE FRAME! It almost fell over when I opened the door, with the entire safe swaying as I open and close it EVEN AFTER PUTTING IN A 20 LBS WEIGHT AT THE BOTTOM! While framed as just a standard gun safe, you are REQUIRED to bolt it down, else it will not stay put, or even upright. The packaging was great, but once unwrapped and opened, pieces of padding fell out from the corners, revealing that they had been crudely stuffed in to prevent the door from rattling, meaning that is a known defect. As far as the "pistol holster" on the door, it's a piece of ratty packing-type fabric that will almost assuredly rip with any extended usage and which can barely fit a Beretta M92 frame, so compacts only. As for dimensions, the aforementioned M92 and a single magazine barely, and I mean BARELY, fits on the top shelf of the safe, while the "holster" on the door was quick to resist me pulling the gun out anyways. This will be a "practice required" safe, where you have to practice drawing and loading your weapon in case of emergencies, else it's too clumsy to offer ease. The only reason that I am not returning the safe is that it would take more effort and money than I want to waste anymore on the thing, and after two dud purchases, I'll just mod it and make do. For the record, I bought it for $150, so if you're considering buying this at mark price, DON'T. It's an objective waste of money, especially when you can buy a legitimate, fireproof brick safe for half the price to store a handgun and some ammo.

Decent, but not the best

The safe is smaller than expected and the shelves can’t really fit much. The bottom shelves are a lot smaller than the top shelf and can only fit one box of ammo. The front of the door below the electronic keypad has a small crack/defect, and the keypad sometimes doesn’t open and malfunctions even when new batteries are out in. I can’t rely on the keypad to open it. The safe does the job but it’s not the best. I should’ve spent a little more for a better safe but I needed a safe ASAP snd this was the only on that would come in on time.

Sturdy, Slim, and Secure

I was excited to purchase this safe because I found the right size. I’ve been looking for a somewhat slim safe. This one’s perfect. I can store 2-3 rifles comfortably and about 10-12 small boxes of ammo as well on the top shelf. The door also has a few compartments for storage. It does have a light on the inside which helps but I added a few more to make it really pop when the doors open. It was really easy to program the lock and the setup button is in an easy to reach location. It’s got a vibration alarm that you can set on or off. It also comes with 4 holes and mounting hardware to securely fix it to a wall. The metal is pretty thick and has a good weight overall; doesn’t feel flimsy. It comes with an external battery pack if needed and a set of keys to manually open the safe. Solid buy.
