Great bike. Assembly was easy and took about 20 minutes. After first ride I felt the rear brakes didn't work as well as the front and adjusted the rear brakes to my liking. I'm a older guy and did replace the seat for a softer cushion one found one here. I waited to write a review until I had spent a decent amount of time riding it. I mostly trail ride with only a little bit of paved time. The suspension is nice for trail riding. Gear shifting was good. Not interested in attempting any BMX tracks or jumps. No issues with over a dozen multiple mile trail rides. A bicycle bell comes with it. That made me laugh and reminded me of riding in Japan. IFYKYK... ... show more

Totally disappointed with this purchase. First of all I was charged a shipping fee which was to free according to Amazon. Bike arrived and first problem was getting the seat installed; connector was not round to accept the seat pole so had to be reshaped to fit. Chain kept popping off so had to work on the derailer but got it together. Gears would not shift; found a bent brake caliper in the back so got that going. Grandson rode his new bike to school and several days later the bike pedal fell off; piece at top of the assembly had split apart. we now have an unusable bike and an unhappy grandson with a birthday present that can't be used. I bought this bike for my 11 year old son after looking through lots of other bikes. The reviews were good and the bike looked like it was better quality than the other mountain bikes that I had looked at. It didn’t take my husband long to put it together, maybe 20 minutes.
