Why I ordered this item: I built a custom Bluetooth speaker and needed a wireless control interface for it. This seemed like overkill at first, but the price was right and I liked the idea of having a dedicated screen instead of fumbling with my phone. Likes: * The CarPlay connection is rock solid. I was worried about dropouts or lag, but it pairs instantly and stays connected. No fiddling around trying to get it to recognize the device. * The display is bright enough that I can see it in daylight, which sounds basic but matters if you're not mounting this in a dark garage. The 5-inch screen is the right size for what I'm doing without being unwieldy. * Setup was straightforward. I mounted it, plugged in power, and it booted in a few seconds. The manual is clear and I didn't have to contact support or hunt through forums for answers. * The waterproof rating is legit. I don't baby my gear and this thing handles splashes and humidity without any issues. * Having independent audio and video channels means I can route the audio to my speaker while the display does its thing.
