I like the looks of this fixture, and the motion detection and two levels of brightness can work well, BUT.. I tried multiple dimmable 800 lumens (60W-equivalent) LED bulbs in this fixture, including ones made by GE, Philips, and Luxrite. They either flickered or refused to light up at all. A similar-looking fixture I bought has no problems with any of these bulbs. When I contacted Motini to complain, they unhelpfully suggested I use incandescent bulbs instead of LEDs. If so, they should remove the text in their description which clearly imply LED bulbs will work as long as they are "not exceeding 20W". ... show more

So we purchased this light 32 days ago, and licensed electrician just finally got to install it. It does not work. We couldn't return it to Amazon, since 30 days already passed. So we tried to contact manufacturer to use 3 yr warranty. No contact information on the web, amazon, or packaging. Found contact info on facebook, e-mail bounced back. Contacted amazon, thank you, amazon, for excellent customer service - they took it back 32 days later, even though advertised was only 30 days. Will look for similar light from a more trustworthy manufacturer. ... show more

Not as advertised. Using for security, only goes down to 50% brightness in the auto mode despite the claim that it turns off. Really nice looking light, however I would not have purchased these. It doesn’t serve my purpose as there is no mode that turns fully off. Buyer just know that auto mode claims are false ... show more

The listing should be rewritten to include some clarifications. There are not "multiple modes" for this light. It is either manually turned OFF or is 50% on and bumps up to 100% when motion is detected. Disappointed in this lack of functionality. Also, there is a small red LED light that flashes on the sensor when motion is detected, which is a bit annoying and takes away from the lamp. Quality is a little better than average - could be a little better but not too shabby. Hardwired installation is super simple if you are comfortable with minor electrical connections. Farmhouse is my favorite new home style and these barn lights really make it look authentic. I got this to put in the front of our house and it totally converts it into a modern farmhouse look. It was easy to install where the previous light was and I just had my husband do it. It turns on automatically at night as it was a sensor for dusk til dawn. The product listing states “ Dusk to Dawn Sensor：There are many modes to choose from, it will light up in time when you need it, it will illuminate the way home for you and make you feel at ease and caring”. There are NO modes to chose from other than fully on or half light with motion detecting. This light was not as advertised. There is no dusk to dawn or real motion detection. It’s either on - or off. It just pulses brighter and softer. LED bulbs also do not work in this fixture.
