We have bought two sets of hives from MorNon. We were super happy with our first purchase, easy to assembly, nice fitting dovetail joints, an overall great (4layer) hive complete with frames etc., with the only drawback that bottom section/base has a ‘solid floor’ (no netting for ventilation/mite control) but we were so happy with it so we decided to buy one more a couple of months later, as for one we manage to catch a couple of extra swarms. However, the second hive, this kind (5layer), which doesn’t come with the frames (but that was somewhat our bad as we didn’t read the ‘fine-print’, just clicked to repurchase the same as the previous one and we got redirected to this one) but foremost this one was impossible to assemble, terrible dovetail joints that didn’t line up, making the wood split and the boxes all crooked when trying to assemble them, and several of the box-sides had cracks in them (even pre-assembly). We contacted Customer Service, after some correspondence back and forth, and some pictures, they too realized the bad shipment and made it right by sending us a new hive, which looks much better. We’ll update this review if it turns out in any other direction. So far, a happy-ending:)

Foundation is not high quality dose not hold wax well but price is right I don’t use it still got great buy but foundation will only aggravate you all summer trying to make bees draw it replace it from start .great service from seller fast reply’s to problems!

Our bee hive is great, but it was missing a few frames. The seller was unable to provide us with more frames, but they were easy to communicate with (swift, friendly responses) and they worked hard to make sure we were satisfied with the refund they could offer us in place of the missing frames.

Everything great my husband assembled it fast. Just one part broken but we managed. Also if you order the 5 part one this one does not come with the honey frames just the boxes.

You'd have to be a more than a novice for this unit. It doesnt give enough instructions. Being a little handy helps to figure it out. The frames were OK. The tend to break with nailing at times. Not all at least a couple. Overall its a PRETTY GOOD unit. By far. I'd recommend it and I'd buy it again.

The frames were easy to assemble and the supers fit together very tight and snug. I didn’t use the nails provided as they seemed too big and worried they would split the wood, so I used a 25 mm finish nail instead. Assembled it all and painted it and waiting for spring to get some bees in it.

The hive its self is fine, however be sure to read very carefully! After reading several times to be sure it included frames I ordered the 5 layer kit from the several options listed, unfortunately unlike the other options this does not include frames and I am looking at spending an additional $150 on frames making it significantly more expensive than other options available. In addition I may not be ready when my bees arrive.
