I read through the reviews before I bought this and I will say assembly was as expected. The box is very intimidating but it's mostly the weight of the chicken wire roll. The frame was super easy to assemble except for the door it was a little frustrating use your own wrench the one they provide is just hard to use.The worst part about the assembly is the chicken wire. It would be so much better if they where precut. Definitely buy more zip ties and overlap the wire seams. You do have a little extra to work with. The latch could be designed a little different but im wondering if the metal got smashed down a little during shipping however, I do think it's an easy fix. I did read it took like 2 hours. It took my husband and I 4 hours the zip ties and cutting the wire is very tedious make sure you have good sharp wire snips!!! In the end I am very happy and love it. Oh it also comes with ground nails to hold it down you may want to get a better quality. They bend as you push them in the ground. ... show more

I purchased this for a small flock of chickens. It isn’t the most solid aluminum pipe but was very easy to assemble. There were a few junctions and pole ends that were bent but were easily straightened. With the instructions I was able to assemble it in less than a hour alone. Mind you not with the wire, just sorting parts and assembly of the frames and door. Everything snaps together only 6 screws in the whole setup. I would have liked to see braces in the corners but there are none, so I will add that myself. The door latch leaves something to be desired so I will modify that as well. I had an issue with my first order but the seller rectified the problem immediately. I would not hesitate to buy this again. For the price it will suffice, don’t expect to receive a Fort Knox enclosure. It’s not anything like wire conduit or chain link fence but it’s not as expensive either. I’m 5’11” and can stand in the center easily. The is pvc coated and seems to be about the same as chicken wire from home supply stores. The anchors are not sufficient so you should get some better ones and the zip ties are wrong for outdoor use. Get some quality green or black ones, the sun won’t degrade those as quickly. If you’re planning to keep this a long time consider metal wire tie. I plan to update this review after I have used it a bit but for now it’s 5* from me. ... show more

This chicken run matches the description. The frame was easy to put together but the wire mesh definitely took some time (two person job for best results). Wire mesh is not very strong but there was enough leftover to overlap in some places. Zip ties were subpar so I definitely recommend getting extra UV resistant ones to double up/stabilize the wire. This run is NOT large enough for 20 chickens AT ALL - this is smaller than it appears to be and I would not have more than 10 larger breeds in here. You may be able to have more bantams but over crowding leads to disease and issues. This pen alone is not predator proof - i suggest getting a roll of 1/2 in galvanized steel hardware cloth to wrap the bottom with as the 'poultry mesh' included is not the best but does work. I got the 4ft high 50foot roll of 1/2 inch hardware cloth and it worked perfectly for my needs. Getting 2 of these would be best for 20 chickens. Overall, the install is easy enough but the latch system is weak and you will never want to see another zip tie again. I would algo buy the tuff 75lb black zip ties as the white included are very easy to break. ... show more

I would love to give this 0/5. For starters, this will not keep any predator out. I realized that as I was building it but I did not buy it for night time use. So I thought okay, it will keep my chickens in. It did not. When the very cheap and flimsy zip ties failed, one of my chickens got caught and died. They had only been using this for 2 days. It took approximately 12 hours to put together. So you are much better off building your own run using sturdy and quality materials. The poles came bent and only about a fourth of the necessary zip ties were included. All in all, this is very unsafe product and I would not recommend it to anyone ... show more
