  • Fit my MX-210V lathe with minor mods
Overall a decent deal for the money. Took some filing and cleanup to get it working smoothly, but that is expected of these import chucks. The biggest welcome surprise was that the chuck fit my MX210V perfectly - apart from having a four bolt pattern where this lathe has a three bolt pattern. No backplate needed - I just lined up one of the holes with a stud from my 3 jaw chuck and used a transfer punch to set the location for the other two holes. Drilled and tapped some M8 holes about 3/4" deep and it connected just great! ... show more

  • Very nice chuck for the money.
my only alteration was drilling the back with a 3 bolt pattern to fit my backing plate. The bolt up went well and the self centering machining on the chuck fit. Lathe runs at 1200 rpm with no vibration and the Jaws have a good stability. Don't write many reviews but i feel this one deserves it.

  • Can’t use it so honestly can’t review it.

  • This is a 4 bolt pattern mount.
The media could not be loaded. Thank god the bolt hole pattern circle is the same as the one on my lathe, the shoulder also fits my lathe making it easy to transfer 2 of the holes, drill/tap for 8mm course

  • First impressions are good.
The chuck seems pretty well built. There isn't a lot of slop in the jaws and they run in and out smoothly. I'm sure it'll be even better when I've had a chance to clean the packing grease off of it. I have to make a backplate for it before I can mount it on my lathe but it looks like a perfect size for my 9x20 lathe. The machining looks good and there are no obvious defects. For the price, it looks to be a good deal so far. ... show more

  • Good 125mm chuck
This chuck fits the MX-210V lathe without modification. I has four mounting holes versus the three mounting holes on the chuck included with the lathe, so three new holes heed to be added to the chuck face plate to hold it, then good to go. This chuck has individually adjustable jaws to allow mounting of non-round work pieces, which greatly increases the versatility of your lathe. ... show more

  • Surprisingly good quality.
Surprisingly good quality chuck. Solid and well made. I machined a cast iron backplate for it and installed it on my 9 x 20 lathe. (I think it is the perfect size for this lathe; imho a six inch chuck would be too big.) The jaws seemed a bit sticky at first but this was solved by a thorough cleaning. The only negative was the number of sharp edges on the jaws and chuck face, but again this was easily fixed. I chucked up a back gear housing and adjusted center to within 0.0005, (the limit of my DTI), so it works well for me. I would buy it again. ... show more
