I am very pleased with these coffee mugs and I am very picky about coffee mugs. I love the large size, comfortable handle and shape of the mug. I really like the slight flare of the lip, it makes for easy sipping. Besides hot drinks, these large clear mugs are great for serving up pretty parfaits or ice cream sundaes. This mug looks nice, feels sturdy is durable and cleans up beautifully in the dishwasher. Heads up: I mistakenly cracked one mug when filling the clean hot mug (straight out of the dishwasher) with cold water, my bad. These clear glass mugs are solid, with heft. They are manufactured from "Soda Lime Glass". Soda-lime glass "is the most prevalent type of glass, used for windowpanes and glass containers (bottles and jars) for beverages, food and some commodity items." It is "chemically stable, reasonably hard and extremely workable." It is also ideal for glass recycling. (Wikipedia). The glass used is what imparts the stability and weight of these mugs. They are crystal clear, have an appealing shape, and do hold 15 oz to the brim. Due to their construction, they are somewhat heavy, but not overly so. The handle fits fine in my hand. Hot beverages do not make these mugs too warm to use or drink from. They are about 4 3/8" high and 3 1/2" in diameter top and bottom. They sit solidly on the table. According to the website they are refrigerator and dishwasher safe. With reasonable care these mugs will last a very long time. One of mine did arrive with a defect, a long scratch on the side, which disappoints me. It will not affect its use, but it does affect its appearance. So I did deduct 1 star for that flaw. That said, I do recommend these mugs. If you are looking for a sturdy, attractive, large capacity, easy care mug this is an ideal choice. Thanks for reading :) ... show more

This set of mugs is perfect IMO. They are the perfect size, and shape, not too big, not too small, not too short, not too tall. I also like the smooth texture of the glass - it would be easy to etch on these as gifts. They are quality mugs, solid, fairly heavy weight, with a comfortable handle - and fancy coffee with loads of foam looks really good in these! These may become my new favorite and definitely a great idea to gift. ... show more

This 6 pack of clear coffee cups are simple and so pretty with coffee inside. They wash up easily and because they are glass, they dry fast as well. I ordered these to be my backup mugs. My adult son is using one every day. Maybe these are too nice to be backup mugs. They hold about a cup and a half - plenty of room for creamers. I honestly think clear glass is tastier, too. Seems like the lack of porousness would be a selling point. For the price listed, this is a nice set of cups that will work for a long time. No frills, no bells, but a good clear glass coffee mug is welcomed! ... show more

I think these are nice looking, practical cups. They hold just under 16 oz. of liquid and are sturdy and broad-based enough that they won't easily tip over. A few other reviews have stated that they were too heavy and that they were cloudy; I strongly disagree with both contentions. Each mug weighs just under one pound (less than the ceramic mug I normally use) and is easily picked up and moved around, and the mugs are quite clear given that the glass is fairly thick (a plus).. To sum up, you'll be proud to serve your guests beverages in these cups and they are also a good value. ... show more

I've been using coffee mugs from JoyJolt for quite some time, although only the double wall. Their quality is fabulous. These diner style mugs are no exception. The glass is thick and they have a nice weight. They are dishwasher safe. At 15.5 oz, they are one of the larger styles you can purchase. Please note though t that hese are not the double wall glass mugs like other JoyJolt products, so the heat retention isn't as good. My coffee/cocoa doesn't stay hotter any longer than with a regular ceramic mug. I really wish JoyJolt made these in a double wall option. ... show more

These mugs are elegant in their simplicity. A classic and sturdy Design. My other favorite coffee mug also has a 15.5 ounce capacity, but they are footed, taller and more elegant. I wanted something a bit more robust looking for my husband. These are shorter, wider, and a bit more grounded looking. The slightly flared rim helps prevent drips. Additionally, they retain heat well and appeared to tolerate the high heat of the dishwasher. I appreciate that they are Lead-Free and BPA-Free, but as compared to Borosilicate, Soda Lime glass, can have more cadmium of other questionable minerals. Still, it is the most common type of glass and is generally considered food safe. ... show more

I own other items from joy jolt and have always been happy! I thought this would be a great purchase. However, unfortunately, these glasses feel cheap. Although the glass is heavy duty, you can see the seams on the sides, and they’re not perfectly clear. Kind of looks like the glasses from the dollar tree. Also feels awkward to hold. I’m not a fan of these unfortunately and cannot recommend. ... show more
