This really is a bang for your buck is everything that I wanted and more everything just fit right into place easy to install with a little adjusting the plastic was good and thick and it fit just right I read a lot of good reviews on this and I was like yeah right I'll just have to see for myself and it was worth every cent I can tell it's boosted up my horsepower and I love the sound of it and the look on my motor is amazing if you're looking for a good cheap cold air intake this is the one you want you can always get a new filter but this one is worth the money the only thing I really didn't like on this was the clamps are cheap they will strip out on you if you tighten them down too hard but I used some of my old ones and I went to my local O'Reilly's and got the other ones I needed for only a couple of bucks well worth the money ... show more

Put this on my 99 Sierra with the 5.3L and 253K miles! As someone who’s not only modified every vehicle I’ve owned, but also have dyno tuning on several vehicles to show power gains. I did not dyno this vehicle, but the quality of this intake is GREAT! I have. I doubt that this part wouldn’t add around 20 horsepower and torque like most of the popular brands do. Package arrived damage free and product was well packed. For my aplication, 2004 GMC Yukon XL Denali, the coupler for mass airflow sensor was incorrect size, no big deal I made it work. Need to remove rubber gasket from OEM air cleaner box outlet to use on the supplied air filter and coupler. Fitment onto my vehicle was 90% simple and 10% fiddling with it to line up properly. Had to manipulate the mounting bracket to an appropriate angle for my truck. Also install the filter onto the pipe before fitting the pipe to the engine, save yourself the headache of double work, the filter is a tight fit and a shorter one that is wider around may be a better option. I purchased higher quality clamps but other than what has been mentioned the kit includes everything else as well as instructions for install which were if some help but those with mechanical knowledge will find this to be very much plug and play. Engine has a much throatier sound to it under acceleration as for fuel economy and HP gains we all know what we are getting into with intakes. This is a quality product for the money, if you're on a budget, this is the way to go. ... show more

What can I say about a cheap intake off Amazon? It works and looks much better than factory. Sounds great too. Quieter than I would have thought but I also have a flowmaster 40 on my truck. Fitment is “ok”. Definitely a little bit of knowledge needed to get it installed correctly but it works well. For the price, you cannot beat it! ... show more

Before buying understand.... CHEAP CHINA SWEAT SHOP GARBAGE QUALITY and INSTRUCTIONS ARE USELESS, makes IKEA look like a dictionary... HOWEVER...become a mechanic and watch YouTube and read reviews... it will work and install pretty tight. Clamps are cheap POS, thin, and razor sharp. Couple is 4" where Tahoes MAFS are 3.5", but it can work or buy a 4-3.5" rubber adapter coupling. Design is cheap and frustrating so do not tighten clamps till end. Instructions look like they took internet pics and translated caption Instructions. HOWEVER... it can be done. Successfully installed with patience and YouTube. Like a puzzle look at the box watch how it goes together. No need to shave or cut or modify. Upgrade your choice. This can work and value is can't beat, who unit almost as much as a KN filter. I have an 05 PPV tahoe... instantly check engine light came off whirls cleanly now when rev idle, hear the air flow and can feel the power from the engine within the vehicle when driving. Whether it's hype, or no extra HP or gas mileage, or cold air doesn't truly get sucked in... a CAI is a upgrade. YouTube Smoky Mountain Auto best instruction.
