Gave me 2004 Tahoe z71 5.3 better acceleration.. nothing crazy but noticeable. Also a more throaty sounds when hard accelerating. I thought this stuff was made outta plastic.. nope.. metal which was surprising. Very good quality and "ease" of install. Why did I put "ease" because the instructions were of poor image quality and direction.. but if you have half a brain you know how it's supposed to go.. which was easy. Only suggestion is clearer image quality for the instructions. It's like a 240p black and white grainy image. Other than that I'd take this any day over a k&n version for the Tahoe. Almost the same thing but $300 cheaper. "Oh but if it breaks" it's mostly metal and I can replace it 5 times for the price of 1 k&n... lol ... show more

I like the product for the price it is noticeable on Torque and HP not that much but something is better than nothing for the price it does give it a different sound but not bad of a sound they could work on the sound quality. I do recommend for replacement of OEM. The quality is good you get for what you pay for, ajd is easy to install. Month into it and im satisfied with the purchase. ... show more

This product looks good. Had a few minor scratches, I doubt they came from shipping because it was packaged well. The fit was not the best and the instructions were copied so many times it was really hard to see. It’s very tight against the radiator shroud and one of the support braces does not even come close to lining up so that piece is not usable. As far as increase of power or fuel mileage there is no increase over my previous modification of drilling holes in the bottom of the stock air box. Pretty simple install, took about 45 minutes and that was me being very meticulous about the placement. Like everyone said the bracket that attaches to the air filter box is way off, but once everything is mounted up it’s snug and won’t move at all. I’m really happy with CAI so far. Only thing I did different was keep the bottom plate in below the air filter. I live in south Florida so I don’t want sand or water getting into my intake. The stock filter also would not fit. I couldn’t even get it into the air filter area. Lucky for me though I had already ordered a k&n 4” filter so everything is all good. Looks really trick underneath my hood and I can definitely feel better throttle response and a bit more get up and go. Buy this you won’t be disappointed. ... show more

I generally like it, could have a better fitment but it works. The support flange that mounts the pipe to the air box doesn’t seem to be long enough so it barely holds on.

So the pictures are 1: everything laid out and accounted for, 2: before picture of the old stock air intake, and 3: post installation of the new cold air intake from MooSun. So talk about a smooth installation. The hardest trouble I had was unplugging the stubborn stock electrical air sensor from the stock air intake. However, a YouTube video solved that. I love YouTube. Anyway. I am not skilled at automotive modifications, not at all. But with the included step-by-step guide, this was like building with Legos. Some of the parts I didn't understand the name to but using common sense and "Hey look! it fits!" made this an easy upgrade. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Don''t spend $100 plus bucks on a filter from a name brand company. MooSun has got you covered on the cold air intake front. This is one upgrade that you can cheap out on and still get a great product. So after the upgrade, which took me about 2 hours, I took my Tahoe out for a spin and it's now got a really cool "sucking" sound when I rev the engine. I think it performs better too, but I don't have a Dyno HP measuring scale. Bottomline, this product is easy to install, the parts are well made and quality, and everything was included. Well actually, I had to use 3 of the 5 old air intake screws (as instructed in the instructions) and one of the old hose clamps. I might have used a hose clamp where it wasn't necessary, but hey, my Tahoe runs great, and that's what matters. Thank you very much for giving me a great product for a VERY good price MooSun. I WILL look for your products on future upgrades. ... show more
