I learned a lesson from this purchase: never buy an e-bike (or trike) on-line unless you have a reliable source for assembly. After paying $200 extra to have the trike assembled in my apartment complex by a so-called knowledgeable person, I soon found out the job had been done poorly. I am still in the process of getting the trike to a shop (rare in my parts) for proper assembly. I have no quarrel with MOONCOOL. Delivery was on time; the product was packaged well; the manual seems complete and provides clear instructions. One good outcome did result. I live in a residential community. The trike has become a community project, with several residents offering well wishes, advice, and offers to help getting the trike going! It seems to take a village....

I bought this for my 82-year-old dad. For his age, he’s pretty mechanical. After three days he gave up, trying to put it together. I paid our neighbor who has 2 E-Bikes to finish putting it together. It took my Neighbor four hours. My dad truly loves the bike! Putting it together as another story.

I am in love with this trike! First off, it arrived packaged extremely well with each piece of the trike being just as well packed, it was a struggle getting the boxes out of the shipping box and then then the individual boxed. When you open the box, each part was wrapped extremely well also. Now to the second part...the trike came with great instructions and anything we were unsure of was on YouTube. The difficulty was having to assemble the chain rail thing. We got the trike to switch gears smoothly up to 5th gear. I really don't think I'm ever going past 3 to be honest. Eventually we will take the trike to a bike shop to fine tune the gears but it's still rideabable, Once assembled the trike is very heavy and very sturdy. Nothing rattles on the trike even when you hit rough terrain. Lastly, if you have never ridden a trike (as an adult) you need to take it slow and practice on a smooth level path. I didn't and when I rode over our bumpy driver I almost crashed in to my neighbors tree! I learned thar I need to have a firm grip on my handlebars or those bumps will send you in other directions. I found helpful videos on You Tube that helped me with how to ride a trick because it is NOT the same as riding a bicycle. Lastly, this is an AWESOME bike! MoonCool did a fantastic job with creating it. FYI.. I purchased the pet carrier that is meant for their foldable fat tire trike and the carrier fits great because this bike has a much larger rear basket vs the foldable fat tire MoonCool trike. 10 thumbs up!

i bought another bike at the same time moon cool construction was heads above the Q life bike welds were smooth I would recommend moon cool over other cut rate bikes my Q life broke the chain first go . the bike I got from moon cool came with a whole different feel , like the company cared about their product , Q life came with a twisted frame and stripped bolts holding the sub frame on , dont buyQ life , buy moon cool

My local pro bicycle shop wanted a fortune to assemble this as i am disabled and said they are bad about missing parts not working etc. My auto mechanic had it assembled in an hour with no issues... It is difficult/dangerous to get on for me as my height is 5' and i can barely get my leg over it. It will also tip over easily if going too fast or on unlevel ground.

Well made , a little heavy , directions are not the best and some of the pictures are blurry. It took me over 8 hours to put it together. I am a mechanic and work on motorcycles and it was a challenge for me. I recommend that you are not experienced take it to a bike shop for assembly and adjustments .
