This is one of my favorite things I own. I use it every single day and it is on as I write this review. I love that you can change the colors AND brightness, it really sets the mood. Personally, I like to use it around bedtime or when I don't want to be surrounded by bright lights. It does hold a charge, but I keep it plugged into my pc so I don't have to keep plugging it in. It is also nice to have a little light to carry around with me if I want to. I find the touch control a little hard to use, but I mostly use the remote anyways. My only issue so far is that I think my neighbor (duplex) also had a remote that controls something similar because before they moved out, the moon would sometimes change colors when I didn't hit any buttons. I think it was receiving a signal from another remote or device. It was annoying, but they moved out and it's not a problem anymore. Overall, this is one of my favorite purchases and I wish I had bought a bigger one! <3

The only thing that I didn't really know was the size. I thought it would be a little bigger, but that does not take away how great this item is. The moon makes a perfect gift. I purchased two of them, one for myself and one for a birthday gift. One of the best things about making this a birthday gift is how unique it is. The item is special in its own way and is a perfect size for a shelf in a office or bed room or just a night lite some where. The remote control works easy and is very simple. There is no on and off switch but when you touch the charging port the light turns on and you can also change colors by touching the port (just in case you don't have the remote handy) I would definitely get this for someone if you are looking for that special kind of gift that requires a special touch.

I got the 6" version and it's the perfect size. I wanted something large without being so large that it gets in the way, since I'll have this on my desk. The touch feature is a little weird since it's on the bottom of the moon, and only cycles through the main colors. The remote has multiple options, though- 4 main colors plus white, and variations of those colors that you can choose from. There's no slider scale, it's just a couple preset color buttons. You can also adjust the brightness/dimness, and have a timer from 15-60 minutes in 15 minute increments. There's also an option to cycle through all the colors, with different types of cycling- strobe, fade, etc. There were reviews complaining about how you "lose the detail" when the light is on. This is only moderately true. On the brightest setting for the colors other than white, you probably won't be able to take a good, detailed photo, and the details in-person won't be as clear. You can still see them well enough that I don't consider it an issue. For the white you can see the details fairly well at all brightness settings. The photo with the white light I submitted is at the brightest setting in a dark room. It gives off enough light that it's a pretty good night light, and gives off some good lighting in the dark for some interesting photos.

This moon light was so pretty! It changes colors easily with the enclosed remote. I liked that I could make it festive for the holidays. I bought it for a dark area of my office where there is no outlet to plug in a lamp. It worked so well for a while. Then it began to only hold a charge for less than half a day. Since the battery is not replaceable, I replaced it with a lamp that I could change bulb and batteries. Itβs not as cute as the moon, but itβs light.
