THE REASON WHY EVERYONE IS STRIPPING THE LEFT PEDAL IS SOLVED.. I was nervous to install the pedals due to all the reviews of people saying that they stripped the left hand pedal so as I started to install it it was beginning to strip and I stopped and I read the directions I looked at it and then I said to myself maybe it's a reverse thread.. so I tried going counterclockwise with it and it screwed on perfectly with no issues. So the right side is clockwise the left side is counterclockwise SO IMPORTANT!! Otherwise So far so good I will update this if there are any issues but it's at cool looking bike and rides well and it's a perfect size for an 11 or 12 year old to grow into or still can be used by an adult.. and a really cool looking bike

We have bought 2 of these bikes and they're garbage! The first bike threads stripped out of the peddle bracket, causing the left peddle to fall out! The chain keeps slipping out of the derailer sprocket and wedging between the sprocket and housing. The second bike was better, for about 3 days! Problems! Nothing but problems! We've only had them riding in a park, flat surfaces! I couldn't imagine what would of haven't to them if we took them to the mountains and used them for what they're supposedly made for!

It's ok. A premium price for a mediocre product. Yes it's a mountain bike. It works. I don't see a $500 bike. You can see the rear axle/ gears wobble as the wheel spins. The gear changing mechanisms came out of the box way out of adjustment. I really don't see any advantages with this bike other than the name makes it cost more. Definitely not the Mongoose quality I remember from years ago. I see the same quality as a $100 Wal-Mart bike. It's nothing special.

The suspension works very good. For $500. It’s a good bike. I took it on some nearby jumps and it works pretty good except for the chain pops off often on the gear shifting part. Otherwise, I really enjoy it.

Damaged on arrival

The bike looks nice and rides fairly nice for the price but the front end is just dangerously weak and my bike has several damages from the factory when it showed up. Just got it today we will see how it goes

Great suspension

I like this bike. I am 145 pounds and 5’6” with long legs. It works for me. The frame is sturdy and the front wheel is removable for transport. The wide tires are great for trails especially sand. This is not a cruiser. It is a mountain bike that handles rough terrain very well. I am new to trail riding and it was easy to navigate. The front wheel turns on a dime. I am older and the suspension keeps me from jarring on jumps and bumpy terrain. Well worth the money.

The hanger that holds the derailleur in place is aluminum and it broke in two after the first dozen rides. I'm a beginner to mountain biking so not aggressive at all. I called the manufacturer to see if they had replacements made of steel but no luck. I received a replacement hanger and it broke in two after the second ride.

I ordered two of the impasse 1.0 but I got totally different bike the impasse dual and I got the impasse 1.0 and the derailleur broke the next day and It came without the seat and seat post luckily I had already bought a different seat and I got a next seat post
