  • I love it!
Color: Silver Style: Bmx Bike
This bike is exactly what I expected. It fits me perfect at 5’11”. I changed a couple of parts but the bike is all good!

  • Maybe the first review, and may not be thorough.
Color: Silver Style: Bmx Bike
Great looking. Stickers suck. Not one of the temp stickers for the BS stuff came off at all. Lots of work. The frames beautiful. The welds are ok. Look good but not consistent. Tires suck. Front wheel had over a 1/4" warp that couldn't get out. Had to pay a bike shop 35 to fix the new wheel, and not even them could get it better. Returning bike. there are better out there. Look at the framed 29" alum framed bike with disc brake at hundreds less. ... show more

  • BMX 29er?
Color: Silver Style: Bmx Bike
First time I've come across a BMX 29er. Cool for those adults who don't want to keep hitting their knees on the handlebars of a 20" BMX bike. Assembly is fairly easy. Install the front wheel, seat, pedals and make some fine tune adjustments to the brakes. I like the silver walls on the tires. Although I wonder if you can find replacements like that. As for the frame, the welds are solid but look a little heavy handed to me. The wheels are really wide. I guess if you're treating this like a BMX, it's better safe than sorry. ... show more

  • Beginning to ride again at 60.
Color: Green Style: Bmx Bike
I live on my own now and have wanted to get back into riding a bike, but I have always hated skinny tires because I only felt secure riding if I was riding fast. I lost my balance quickly the older I got and had not been on a bike in 20 years due to the skinny tires. Then, I lived in an area where it was challenging to ride a bike due to the inclines up hills, making it very difficult. When I saw this one, I decided to give it a chance because it has fat tires, and I thought I would feel more secure. I have taken it out once in the parking lot and kept my balance even when going slow. The way the seat sits, I can quickly get my feet onto the ground to support myself. I noticed that this one does not come with a kickstand. But that is okay. I store it like this so I do not have to lean it against anything. This was very easy to put together; it is one speed, and the breaks are very easy to use. ... show more

  • Defective & 30 day warranty
Color: Green Style: Bmx Bike
The media could not be loaded. Listen to the video. Reached out to Mongoose & they said it’s probably a bearing & that has a 30 day warranty. I’ve joy road the thing. $500 & that’s the quality?? Perhaps I got a dud. Very very disappointed.

Not worth the price. Scratches all over the bike and the back rim was bent.

  • Very cool bike but not perfect
Color: Silver Style: Bmx Bike
From an aesthetic perspective this is a great looking bike! The silver is beautiful and the grey wall tires are a great compliment to the look. It definitely looks like it should be ridden and showed off! However, as someone who has many bikes, works on bikes, and is a big fan of any kind of bicycle I was a little bummed by a couple things. First, the headset was lightly oiled (not greased) and over tightened. For someone who knows what they are doing this is annoying but ok. I greased it and properly tightened it so it feels good and smooth now. My second gripe was the stem bolts were so tight I thought I was going to bend my 6mm allen key trying to undo them to install the handlebars. I ended up giving up and putting a stem on that I had laying around instead. Again, for me who has a box of stems laying around it's not a big deal. My real issue with these things is if a kid or someone with less experience spends their money on this bike they aren't going to be able to or know to fix these issues. My last gripe with the bike is the brake lever. The mechanical disk brake isn't the worst I've ever used but the true weak link in the system is the plastic, flexy lever. It feels like if you really needed to use it it would just snap right off. Overall it is a cool bike but for almost 600 dollars they could do a bit better. I'm still excited to goof off with it at the skatepark and ride around town with my kids. I plan on putting knobbier tires on it and trying it out on some mountain bike trails eventually for giggles. ... show more
