The first thing I checked was the zippers. Keep in mind this is a gift and hasn't been worn, but being in the textile business I am good judge of the quality and construction of a garment. The zippers were the smoothest operating zippers Ive ever seen and the construction was flawless. The outer shell is so tightly woven it is sure to keep you dry and draft free. The lining is soft and warm to the touch. Not much fill but to me that preferable allowing more room to layer if needed making it a 3 season coat, and its easily washable! (never use hot water or a clothes dryer on this) What worries me is how they are able to sell this coat at the price they charge? I bought 3 for Stepson his wife and their daughter. So I am not sure how it will do in rain, as it hasn’t rained yet. BUT….. it blocks wind!!! I got this for myself for a winter fishing jacket. It was 35 the other morning when we hit the lake and this jacket blocked that as well as the wind at 55 mph flying across the lake!!! I got the xl and I had on my bibs, 2 base layers and a hoodie and still had room to move around a bit. The hood stayed on since I pulled the cords down as tight as they could go. Hopefully it holds up this well in the rain!! Will update once we get some rain (but this being California, it probably won’t happen much) ... show more

Fits well and sleaves in proportion to the rest of jacket. Perfect weight for going out through parking lot to my car. Not too heavy to comfortably wear while driving. Nice material and cozy inner lining. Not warm enough for prolonged outdoor cold Pa winters. But perfect for taking the dog out for short walks and going to the mailbox etc. Light blue color very nice. Seems like a sturdy zipper. And the material around the zipper does not catch in the zipper. Hood is fine, but if windy out a hat should be worn. The hood is not that warm but does not feel heavy. I bought this coat because I plan to use it on a trip to Alaska in May. It is lightweight, water resistant and has a hood. Should pack easily. I bought it black Friday so the price was great. I am unable to regulate my body temperature and this jacket has been a lifesaver! It is much warmer than my $300 snowboarding jacket. Almost feels preheated when I put on before early morning walks with my dog. It has a comfortable, loose, parka like cut. The zipper is big and easy to use. The pockets are big and easily accessible. I am 5’1” and roughly 167lbs. This coat fits perfectly!! It is so warm and comfortable! And purple is my favorite color! I have been looking for a fleece lined jacket for quite a while that doesn’t break the bank and here it is! Even though the inside of the sleeves are not fleece lined, just the inside front and back. Great quality, numerous pockets, windbreaker, the liner is soft and keeps you very warm. The neck guard and hood are like an igloo for your head. I used this coat through the rockies, in the winter season, and zero regrets in zero temps.
