This hand grip is secured by screws and while we didn't install them ourselves, the person who did this for us said it was an easy job. We use them everyday as an aid getting into and out of the shower. This is the second one I've purchased. Very pleased with this purchase and recommend them for folks any age. The only thing I disliked was not the product but when I opened the envelope the package had been ripped on one side and the plastic bag containing the screws and washers was partially opened at one end. There were 2 washers missing. Since I need to install the grip the day I received it I had to go to Lowes and find the washers I need. The bottom one was to help her get out of the chair in the shower and grab the top one to get out of the shower. ... show more
