  • Newer Model Moves the Temperature Control from the box to the faucet handle (better).
Having read the excellent review by Adam Wood, I took the plunge and chose the Arbor with Motion Sense. There was another brand with "Touch" controls and one with a nice magnet in the sprayer head but this Moen made the most sense to me. I purchased the Amazon installation plan and scheduled it for the day after the faucet was to be delivered - the day BEFORE the faucet arrived I get a notice from the installation service that they "don't do my area" so I was challenged - call a plumber - do it myself. I made an appointment with the plumber to come on Friday in case my attempt failed on Thursday - I detailed my installation at the end but here's somethings I found about the working unit. *** I think I have a newer model than many reviewed because the new regulator box does not control the water temperature - water remains where it was when you last set it by the handle of the faucet. *** If it acts a little weird like the water is pulsing out. Unplug the data cord and plug it back in FIRMLY and count to 15 and it should work fine. *** If you get in the habit of turning the faucet to the left when you're done using it, you have a less likely chance of triggering the water when reaching for soap or a hot water dispenser, etc. *** Here's a link to the $7 adapter (Moen wants $40) AC to DC 12V 1.5A 12V1.5A Power Supply Adapter Switching for Cameras DVR NVR LED Light Strip DC3.5*1.35mm UL listed FCC. (You can find confirmation that this works by reading the reviews on the Moen adapter here Moen 177565 AC Adapter Service Kit) Removed the old: 1. I turned of the water from under the sink only 2. Unscrewed the Hot and Cold supply that comes from the old faucet and unscrewed the nut from beneath the faucet and removed everything. Installed the New: 1. Moen packaged everything you need except the wrench that gently tightens your hot and cold lines. 2. Directions were 98% clear with 2% easily compensated by common sense. 3. Put plastic seal/washer under faucet so it is between counter and faucet. 4. Drop Faucet and wire (date cord) through the existing hole and secure with provided plate and the horseshoe shaped metal washer and secure with the plastic nut. (there is a long grey plastic tube that is provided as a tool to tighten this nut) 5. Put special long hose through the nose of the faucet (small end first) and attach the other end to sprayer head. 6 Put special plastic nut with extended "wings" onto end of faucet mounting screw underneath the sink. This you will find out later is what the "regulator box snaps onto". 7. So snap on the black box and attach the long hose that holds the sprayer into box (it clicks in securely). 8. Attach battery pack (batteries provided) to cabinet wall by adhesive (provided) or screw (provided). NOTE: you can buy an accessory adaptor but it's $40. I'll put a link to one that is $6 and got great reviews for working with the Moen and the end of this list. 9. Peel off protective tape covering the two sensors on the faucet. 10. Plug in data cord. 11.Attach hot and cold hoses (labeled clearly) to water supply. 12. Add Weight to sprayer hose (anywhere below the tape on the hose). 13. Turn on water (by waving your hand over top. 14. Check for leaks 15. Call the plumber and cancel your appointment. ... show more

  • Attractive, functional - a winner for me
Color: Stainless Style: Standard
The media could not be loaded. I've had Moen faucets in my house since I moved in 12 years ago, and they've worked great the whole time. I wanted to get one for my kitchen with an integrated pull down sprayer, and I'm happy that I picked this one. It's worked great for me. The video just provides a quick view of the faucet and some of the features. I hope it helps with your decision. Overall, I'm happy with this and have no real complaints. It looks nice and functions well, and I really like the added height of this model compared to my older faucet. It makes cleaning pots and pans a lot easier. Some quick things to note: - The handle can be positioned anywhere, as there are no set locations. So, you can have it on either side or anywhere in between. Very handy. - The pull down spout has a switch that lets you toggle between a stream and a spray, and you can hold the switch in to stop the flow of water. - Installation will be easier if there are two people because there's nothing to keep the faucet from falling over before the retaining nut is tightened from the bottom. I managed it, but it did fall over on me once. Also, because there are no features to set the clocking of the handle, and because tightening the retaining nut will cause the fixture to spin, having a second person to hold it in place would be helpful. - The hose connected to the pull down spout has a weight that you attach under your sink to pull the spout back into place when you let go. Because of where my pipes run under my sink, the weight clunks against them when I pull the spout down. The location of the weight is adjustable, but I wasn't able to completely avoid the pipes. It's just something to consider, but you may not have that issue, and I still like it even though it happens to me. I recommend Moen as a brand, and I think this model is worth your consideration. UPDATE 01/21/2013: Hi, everyone. After buying and installing this faucet, I was given the amazing privilege of being able to try out the Motionsense version in chrome, the Moen 7594EC, as part of the Vine program. I also did a video review for that one, and I wrote up my thoughts about the two different versions. I figure that you might be trying to decide between the two versions like I was last October, so if you have any questions, please feel free to ask in a comment. ... show more

  • It's a Moen. You can't go wrong.
Color: Stainless Style: Standard
When our 20 year old Moen kitchen faucet became hard to repair, I didn't hesitate to replace it with this Moen faucet. It installed in about 1/2 hour, [man I'm an old guy and hate laying on my back under a kitchen sink], and works great. It has a great finish and a classy look with great spray head features and function. I didn't spring for a water on sensor function cause that takes batteries and I'm just old school. If I want water, I just pull the handle. The only thing I didn't like and can't change is the way the control handle points straight up for hot water and pulls forward for cold. It's evidently a safety feature to stop kids from burning themselves if they reach up to turn on the water. They're more apt to pull the arm forward for cold. You can buy a more expensive faucet but you can't beat a Moen for warranty and function. ... show more
