So I didn’t want to rate this on moisturizing because I don’t believe that is what this is for. As someone with THICK Curly hair, I often thought I had to keep my hair over conditioned to avoid frizz. I also naturally have greasy skin so my hair was just getting heavy. Super healthy, but heavy. All the shampoos I used either just frizzed it out, only to still be heavy and frizzy at the same time (what?!), dried my scalp out, or just aided to the issue of greasy heavy hair. Then I get this stuff. I was inspired by my LOVE for the face system of the same brand and scent. It smells like clay and sugar cookie dough (weird, but man I dig it). I really just knew I liked the scent and needed shampoo during quarantine, I usually don’t buy shampoo online because I am afraid they will sell me a cheaper product in that bottle, but since I was familiar with the smell, and not about to leave the house, I gave it a whirl and it has CHANGED MY HAIR DAY LIFE! My hair has NEVER been healthier. I can go longer than 1 days without washing it, it is SO CLEAN and light and NOT frizzy after I hit it with a half a dime of Shea Moisture leave in curly hair conditioner...I am just thrilled. Like over the moon in love with this shampoo. If you have dry hair, this is your ‘my hair is nasty, I was in the mosh pit/food fight/wilderness/music festival crowd for way too long and just need to feel human again’ shampoo, but since I don’t have dry hair, I am not sure I would recommend it for every day use (but not saying you shouldn’t try, I guess it just matter what level of dirty your day gets you)

This might be the second best shampoo I’ve ever bought. The first was also from Shea moisture it was a shampoo and conditioner set that was a 10 in 1 renewal set). I have a very odd scalp type, it’s like oily but also sometimes get quite flaky and dry..... all at the same time. I thought I should try this new Shea moisture that I found, and may I say, it’s helps so much with all of my issues. The old shampoo i used to use it had a green roundish bottle with a good lid. Don’t make the same mistake I did with that shampoo. Just save yourself some trouble and pain and go with Shea moisture. TRUST ME THIS BRAND MIGHT JUST CHANGE UR LIFE. and you don’t need a whole lot I have pretty long hair about to my the end of my shoulder blades and I probably only use about two tablespoons per wash. And no more than that. Overall love the product. And love the smell. I sometime have problems with smells and sometime they give me headaches but I think that with artificial smells, natural good smells are the way to go.

This was a good alternative to head and shoulders. I stopped using head and shoulders because they test on animals and this brand is cruelty free. It’s not quite the same, I get just a tad bit of residue feeling on my hair after it’s dry but I don’t mind as it keeps the frizz down. Overall I’m happy with it but I’ll probably keep it in a rotation with another type of shampoo. I haven’t tried it in conjunction with a leave in conditioner yet but with normal conditioners keeps it at the perfect level of frizz control and softness.

I ordered this because it specifically says on the bottle, "dry and oily scalp." Unfortunately I have found that it does not work well for my greasy hair. I have long, straight, somewhat fine hair that can usually make it through a whole day and night without getting too greasy looking. However, it gets very oily by late afternoon when I use this shampoo, even when I use no conditioner or de-tangling products. It smells nice and has great lather for a sulfate-free shampoo, so I think if you have dry hair or just don't have issues with oiliness in general, this could be a good option. Good on Shea Moisture for leaving out all the garbage ingredients (parabens, artificial fragrances, etc).

4b/4c hair that is incredibly dry. This provides amazing slip, lathers wonderfully, doesn't leave my hair stripped, and gets my hair very comfortably clean. I wear box braids most of the time and I use this shampoo to do my deep cleansing wash after I have taken my braids down. Removes build up and help control my dandruff as well. A little goes a long way, but the consistency is pretty thin, so be careful when squeezing it out; you can easily dispense too much. All in all, it's the best shampoo I've used in years. I hope they don't plan to stop making it because it's getting harder to find.

This shampoo is perfect for itchy scalp, eczema, psoriasis, etc.! However, my hair is very fine and oily and this shampoo doesn’t get it clean. I use it more like a medicated shampoo just when I need it and it’s great for that. If you have more dry hair or coarse hair it should work well!
