They slip on & off easily when used per the instructions, and they seem to provide very good compression and support to the knee. This particular sleeve (technically not a brace) provides excellent support and pain relief. For the last 5 years or so, my Knees (left in particular) have been protesting any exercise involving weight + bending, mainly squats of any kind. Knee braces are too much; bulky and restrictive. Braces are great for other issues, but not for exercising. These compression sleeves quickly eliminated the pain and "knee popping" and I feel that they truly support, but not restrict, overall knee movement. They fit snug, but not too tight (be sure and measure your leg before purchasing and get the right size!) and so far there has been no slipping down the leg. The material is great; they are not made of spandex, but a good medium weight material that should last a while. I've been using this for 2 months now when exercising and its been a solid knee brace. Good compression and quality, and comfortable. In terms of sizing, I think these run a little smaller than sizing chart says. My knee measurements were around 17" which says a Medium is the correct size. I bought a Medium and it was definitely way too tight - it was actually cutting off circulation a bit. I changed to a Large and that's worked fine. So I would say if your measurements are close to the higher end of what's in the sizing chart, go up a size. ... show more

I bought this because I have an issue with my right kneecap and need compression to help its healing PROS - It's comfortable...but maybe too comfortable (see Con #1) - Easy to put on but probably linked to Con #1 - Nice that 2 are included CONS - It's too large. I wear a size 2 in denim for context and I was surprised to find the stretch on these to be so much. There is some compression power immediately upon wear but it doesn't seem as compressive after wearing for some time. - Grippers on circumference of top + bottom of sleeve is a little uncomfortable. I get that it's there for friction but it tugs on the skin a bit. - I almost feel like the compression is strongest above and below the kneecap where it wraps around my thigh and calf. I would want more compression on the knee. TAKEAWAYS I'm returning this item personally. It's just too large and doesn't provide enough compression for me. ... show more

    • Not Real Comfortable but Better Than Average Support

I have tried a lot of knee supports over the years. The Modvel provides a very reasonable level of support. It does fit tight...even though I ordered it one size bigger than the chart indicates. My knee is 15 3/4 in around the center and 16 1/2 4 inches above the center of my knee. According to their chart I should have ordered a M but based on experience I ordered a L but it was still a bit tight. Because they have so many sizes sort of tells you that these don't stretch too much which can be good and bad. The good is if you get the right size its good support but may be too tight to feel comfortable. I can feel the warmth in my knees when wearing these, but I cannot wear them longer than 3-4 hours. Biggest complaint is although they don't slip down, they bunch up behind your knee this might not bother some but if you do exercises where the back of your knee sits on a pad or a seat it can be uncomfortable. I am not surprised because these come perfectly straight there is no prebend shape of a normal knee/leg built in. Lastly the material is very thick so overall they are a very decent knee support sleeve great for working out, golfing but not for long drives in the car or working all day in the yard or on the house. ... show more
