We decided to try this for our front door entry light to update an outdated look. We wanted something that cast good light downward. And we wanted something that didn't have an open box that wasps would try to nest in all the time (like the old carriage style we were replacing). So far we like the light. Having two downward lamps is great as it brightens up the front entry nicely. Plus, it looks cool. Installing it was fairly easy. Everything (except a ground screw) was included in the box. Because we have angled siding, we had to build a block so it wouldn't wobble. Worked out easily. The lamp itself is large, but not massive, which is ideal for us. The original lamp had been mounted quite high and away from the the doorway for some strange reason. Fortunately, the way this lamp is designed works perfectly in this spot. And there's no place for angry hornets to build a nest inside (that we can tell). Would choose this again.
