I purchased this runner rug in the red/gray/black color choice. I LOVE the floral design. It's gorgeous. It lays in a highly frequented hallway in my home. Lots of foot and paw traffic back and forth! I had purchased a non-slip rug pad to go under it, but we have yet to unpackage the pad and cut it to size! This is laying directly on wood parquet flooring and it is not sliding around even when our big Newfoundland dog walks over it. Our cats play with their toys and run back and forth on it, too. It does not slide around. I actually bought this because my older Newfy did not like walking on the "slick" wood floor. This runner rug gives him the traction he needs so he can walk safely without straining a ligament in his leg joints. Rug reviews tend to mention the chemical odors of the rugs, but I have to say this one did not have any heavy chemical odor at all. The rug does not feel rough and is as soft as I expected. If I had to say anything bad, I would say I wish it was a little thicker than it is. However, for the price, the thickness is reasonable. (If you want a really thick runner rug, be prepared to pay a premium price. I know because I looked at and considered a few. Personally, I thought the thick runners were outrageously priced.) I really do love the colors and print on this rug, but I can't. for the life of me, get it to lay flat. It was delivered rolled, as you'd expect, but it had two strips of tape around the rug. Since it wasn't rolled inside-out, it left some pretty noticeable indentations on the rug (see photo). It is also slightly stretched or warped, because there are spots that bubble and stick up, even when I don't have furniture sitting on it. I tried to iron, but with no success at all (and be aware if you're going to attempt this, to place something over the rug surface and under it to protect the rug fibers and your floor). I laid heavy items on it overnight, and that didn't really seem to fix the issue, either. I guess it might settle over time, but it seems unlikely. If you're someone who spots imperfections easily and it drives you crazy (like me), this is going to bug you. Luckily, it works out so that it's positioned with most of the lumpy parts under the couch. It's possible this isn't much of an issue with the smaller versions of this rug. I do love how the rug looks in the space I've placed it, so I'm trying to focus on that rather than the imperfections. All in all, it's a great price for the size of the rug. I'll be interested in seeing how well it holds up to my three little kids and two big dogs. Edit: a few weeks in and several vacuumings later and some of the uneven spots have settled flat. I still have some areas that don't sit perfectly flat, but most of the rug looks good. There are still lines where the rug was taped, though. It doesn't appear that those will go away. ... show more

I would give it a 5-star, because I LOVE the rug. My only complaint is that the manufacturer or packing company rolled the beginning portion of the rug TOO TIGHTLY. It's going to take a while for the rug to relax the folds. See photos
