This fan/light was easy to install and worked perfectly right out of the box. The remote uses regular AAA batteries, rather than the hard to find ones used by some similar products being sold on Amazon. The fan is ultra quiet and quite powerful. The low profile makes it perfect for use on our rather low ceiling. Couldn't ask for anything more. FWIW there is no dimmer for the lights but I am using dimmable LED bulbs and the circuit has a dimmer on it. It dims the lights and and only slows the fan a bit. ... show more

I used LED dimmable bulbs but realized later that there is no dimming function on the remote so the lights are really bright all the time. Also the loud beep when turning on or using the remote is not needed. I did also notice when the unit is on with the light switch on the wall but turned off with the remote there is a buzzing. It looks great and works well in a room with lower ceiling as it does not hang too low. The fan is powerful and because the blades are clear there is no strobe effect. ... show more
