Two of my dogs are getting older so we are placing rugs around the house for them to walk around more comfortably. This rug is very pretty and indeed the bottom doesn't slip easily once in place. However, the top is this extremely soft material that is more like fabric than carpet, similar to velvet. It is VERY slick and both our dogs and we have when skidding across it when in a hurry. Since it is so soft, they all seem to love lying on the rug which is nice for them, but something we had to get used to in the middle of the night as they become little furry speed bumps. Thankfully, my old fellow took tripping over him on route to bathroom in the dark quite well. The rug is also not very vacuum friendly with our shark even with the suction completely released or using the hand attachments. It's because it is so lightweight and lifts up easily. I've been using a broom to clean the rug and plan to buy a cheap stick vac with much less suction. Overall, it was a great price and I would consider getting it again. I wouldn't put it near an entrance to an exterior door because of how slick it can be. ... show more

I had ordered a ten foot hall runner approximately several months ago, and the color was as depicted as in the online order sheet. We have two fair size (90 lbs) dogs and runner has stood up to their constant walking and running up and down the hallway. With it's great backing it stays in one position most of the time. It's very easy to vacuum, and for the most part stays clean. We did just order this six foot runner and the colors match the ten foot runner and it stays in one position most of the time. There wasn't really much of an odor (new rug smell), and although it was folded in a square, once laid down, the folds came out rather quickly. I would recommend this runner in a hallway in one's residence, as so far mine has stood up to daily traffic by humans as well as dogs. A good buy! ... show more

Look wise, it’s pretty. Durability, not sure that it will last long due to how thin it is. It wrinkles up easily and not sturdy at all. I would recommend in a less traffic area. If you want a thick plush rug, this is not it. Cheap!
