These are awesome. A great way to get practice in with "wasting" ink! They work well on both tattoo practice skin or paper and give the right feel for the real thing. Would recommend to anyone learning!

I got these because I've used a similar idea for practice lol. I have both the classic tattoo machine and rotary style machine. Before this I had rigged a way to use a ballpoint pen ink insert to my standard machine in order to practice on paper with different speeds and such, as well as techniques. Sounds a little contrary but it did the job. Now I don't have to. I have preferred my rotary machine as of late so having this as an option to practice with has been excellent!!!! Now I can practice with a machine that I'm more comfortable with, work better with and not have to MacGyver some way to do it. They click right in, no adjustments, no playing around with it, very easy. For how small the cartridges are they do seem to hold a lot of ink. The ink rolls smoothly when I'm running lines and does not leave heavy dollops of ink when I'm running shading. So all in all if you're practicing for any reason whether you're new, you're comfortable with tattooing, or you're great at it and just don't want to waste the ink, other materials and practice skin; this is an excellent alternative for practicing. I had originally wanted to get these just so I could practice some line/dot work, but my daughter ended up wanting to try them too. All four colors are your basic ballpoint pen cartridges, bit smaller than a regular pen in terms of ink quantity. I love this thing. It's a set of ballpoint pens inside tattoo needle cartridges. This way you can practice your pointilism techniques on paper and without needles. These fit in my pen just fine and work really well. I love being able to practice with them. I have a pen that came with some similar cartridges included, and these are very similar and seem to be comparable in terms of design and quality.
