    • Simple, basic, inexpensive, makes good coffee

It does not have a clock, programming feature, or even auto shutoff. Any of those, especially the latter, would be a dealbreaker for many. I don't mind: I have had other simple, basic coffeemakers and I plug them into a timer that can be set for 6 different On times from 15 minutes to 6 hours. I push the 2 hours button and that solves the shutoff worries for me. This uses cone filters, which I prefer. It can also be used with just its fine mesh filter. I set the paper filter in the mesh filter. It's easy to remove either or both for cleaning. The carafe is a bit thicker glass than I am used to. The coffee pours easily without spilling. The drip shutoff works as well as any I've used, better than some. And the coffee is good and hot. I ordered a 10 cup model, but got an 8 cup model that is different from the 8 cup (more complicated) model that is in the pictures on the Amazon product page. These errors are not good things, but I decided to keep this and not bother with a return. ... show more

1/30/22 *update four choice of materials .. The thin (cheap quality-it is what it is sorry to say) glass carafè which is not really durable cracked .. I asked them if they sold a replacement part and they said no?!🙄 if any of you have ever replaced a carafè with a generic one it's pretty much hit and miss as far as fitment .. now I have a useless machine to throw in the garbage can .. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!!👎👎 .. I suppose I could return it but not worth the hassle and will just probably use it as a on demand backup coffee maker .. pretty disappointing; hence dropping down from four stars to three .. if not for the horrible display and timer feature .. it works decently .. on the flip side; Don't have high expectations for the price point (just saying ..).. Let me start off by saying the box arrived a little damaged, and I did find two broken pieces of plastic in the box. I'm not sure why, because I inspected the Dickens out of this machine and everything looks just fine... Nothing seems to be broken or chipped off anywhere, and the pieces don't seem to be broken off of anything of importance... Weird. lol I'm not sure if that was just a faux pa on the manufacturer's part. That's why I'm only giving 4 stars. I did run some water through a few times before I brewed some coffee, as the instructions indicate. No leaks! :) By the way... This machine brews a mean cup of coffee! It's delicious, and I love that I don't have to buy paper filters any longer. It comes with a basket within a basket. The basket inside the main basket is the filter. Wash, rinse and reuse -- Yes, please. lol The plastic is nice and shiny, no scratches, and the lid that closes over the coffee baskets snaps shut, which is a nice touch. It even came with a cute little black scooper (photo)! I also LOVE that I don't have to wait for the entire pot to brew before I can have a cup of coffee! If there is enough in the pot to pour a cup, I can quickly pour it, then place the pot back under to finish brewing. My old one didn't do that. I would definitely recommend this product! ... show more

This coffee maker is great. I love coffee (high-test). I use coffee sent to me by my brother who lives and works in Panama, which borders Columbia. Not easy to come-by, but am sure any good brand of coffee will be O.K. I rate this coffeepot as excellent.

I bought this for making 6 to 8 cups in the morning (I had a 3 to 4 cup) which wasn't enough. This coffee maker makes good coffee but the carafe leaks and coffee goes everywhere. Big clean up job every morning and not to mention the loss of coffee. Definitely will not buy this brand again.
