This step ladder seems solid, well-built, and will get the job done, but I have some reservations. It folds up thin and doesn't weigh as much as I expected. I'll keep it upstairs so I don't have to keep carrying my old one up and down when I need to use it. Despite the compactness and the lighter weight it still feels strong and supports me well enough. I even jumped on each step a few times to make sure it wouldn't come crashing down beneath me during use, and I didn't notice any give. However, there is a noticeable wobble when the ladder is fully open. It doesn't wobble quite as much while standing on it, but that's still a concern. Is it a design flaw, or manufacturing defect? Also, the steps (each 7 inches wide) of the ladder overlap each other by 4-5 inches, causing a steep angle when ascending and resulting in an unnatural stepping motion. Although the ladder still feels secure (other than the wobble), climbing up is more unnerving than it should be. Would I recommend the purchase? I'm not sure. If you can deal with the downsides then go for it. Pros: --solidly constructed and lighter than expected --folds up compactly and stands on its own --adequate height that bests my existing step stool (seen in pictures) Cons: --steps overlap too much, causing a steep incline and unnatural stepping motion (see pic view from above) --wobbles when fully open ... show more

This ladder is pretty nice. It has a nice size top platform that is wide enough so you feel safe when standing up there. Now combine that with its light weight and most importantly it folds to about 2”, so it doesn’t take up a lot of space. Love the black color. This one has become a favorite because not only is it sturdy but it also is fairly lightweight compared to our other ones. This ladder is perfect for my kitchen since we have a few high cabinets. This ladder's beautiful white finish looks much better than the standard grey ladders you find at the hardware store. We keep it folded and store it between the water dispenser and the cabinet.
