I have thick wavy hair and was happily surprised how well this worked. I had to separate my hair into smaller sections to get the brush to go through well enough to straighten my hair though.

I had my doubts but here's the details: My hair was dry, very and I had wrapped it up so it had a curl in it. I have 3C hair. I spritz with pressing solution. I parted and combed out small sections. It took two to three passes with the smoother to get what is equivalent to a "pressed" look. Here's what I noticed, at 355 degrees a stable 355, my hair was pressed to the ends, was moist, and shiny. Flatirons no matter how I used them dried and burnt my hair. This does not. No matter how I did it on 355 it did a flat, glossy press. It can get down to the roots as well. I would suggest, based on hair texture that some hair may take a additional pressing comb to get the edges and roots to be perfectly flat. I did not need that. I would also guess that wrapping the hair after would be great. It gave a great press, did not dry my hair, did not burn me or my hair, and it went fast. For those touch ups after a shower, or bath this is perfect. If you are a sportsperson who needs to freshen their hair after exercise this is perfect. I had trimmed my hair prior, but it got it straight enough to find other split ends and I trimmed it. I would recommend it. You have to find the right temp for your hair. There is a glove, but I think that's for people who never dealt with a pressing comb. It also comes with a mat, but didn't need it.

I will post a video later. So far I have used it on my fine 3C hair. It may be fine, but it's A LOT of high porosity hair with both s-curls and coils. @ 2 inches past shoulders it would take me 1 hour to blow out AND flatiron (I need volume but prefer my ends silky-straight) with edge coils smoothed out; which I typically do during blow-out to avoid losing volume, risk of burn, and that awful flatiron smell when it burns the oils straight out of your delicate baby hairs :( those poor lil guys... this brush does NOT do that. Miropure brush is really good for cutting down my prep time, achieving volume, silky-soft locks, and it doesn't burn my edges, tips, or leave a funky metal smell. I've been able to reduce the temperature I use to straighten my hair as well. I use it at home and work. It's simple and easier than using heavier tools like round brush and dryer to hit the angles you need to get volume at the roots. I've adapted and started using a wet brush with it to really work in shape. I wanted to stop heat-treating my hair so much. I work entertainment so the mug and mane must always be ON (at least look professionally done) at work which can be time consuming, both at home AND touch-up time while working. I try not to stress my strands with up-do's or toxic products so I don't intend on using any product with it. My intention is to keep it clean and dry (don't use on wet hair). I've also noticed it doesn't remove much oil from the strand - I can smell the natural essence of my hair after a night of dancing and working up a sweat. It smells good :D It's been a while. I'm impressed and blessed with this; I noticed it also reduced frizz and frequency of touchups after performances. It's exactly what I needed for my untreated virgin hair- a low-cost, light, minimal effort tool that can travel with me. As an added bonus doesn't make my hair smell like barbecue and it's looking shinyyyy :D A healthy alternative to other high-heat treatments.

The media could not be loaded. This straightener works perfect for my daughters naturally wavy hair. Sorry for the short video, I didn't realize I could only upload one lol. But you can see how quickly it straightened her hair out. Some info about this . . It comes with a bunch of little things that I wouldn't have thought of but are quite useful like a small fiber paddle to clean I between the prongs of the brush, a heat protection glove, and a heat resistance pad to place the straightener on when your not using it. This thing heats up quick. It was ready in about 1 minute everything I used it. The bristles have a protectant on the tips to keep you from burning your scalp, which works well. I held my hand on it for a solid 3 mintues just to be sure. It has a rotating cord base, which i's a must in hair products for me. It works on beards!! My husband has a huge beard and he let me test it on him to see if it would work. It totally did. We also discovered he hates a straight beard lol. I never used it above 320. I know you may need to for courser hair but I'd rather go over it a few times to be sure heat damage never happenes. This worked on my hair which is straight and only ever needs some taming, my daughters which is wavy and about medium thickness, and my husbands beard and hair which are super curly and very thick. His bears is wirey, thick and curly and it handled it no porblem. I would advise not to go too slowly, I went at a relatively fast speed and it worked every time. This is an awesome straightener.
