Well constructed, holds phone securely. Not practical if you want to take phone out of holder quickly and then replace it. Have to loosen nuts. I found this a problem when wanting to use it on the golf course.

    • I Tried to Destroy It -- I Couldn't. Very Pleased With Its Quality
The first thing I did was to try to destroy this product. I even put the ball in my vise and tried to twist it off. To my astonishment, it emerged unscathed. Not a dent, not a scratch. This is a testament to its robust construction and high-quality materials. This is particularly impressive given that many similar products in the market tend to be flimsy and easily damaged. Amazon Review for Product Name Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) Built Like a Tank, Designed for Convenience I received this product through Amazon's Vine program, and let me tell you, it's a game-changer. I put it through the wringer, attempting to test its durability to the max. To my astonishment, it emerged unscathed. Not a dent, not a scratch. This is a testament to its robust construction and high-quality materials. Durability I tried to destroy this mount in every way I could think of, short of using power tools. It held up remarkably well, showing no signs of wear or tear. This is particularly impressive given that many similar products in the market tend to be flimsy and easily damaged. Design: I'm impressed with the design. As far as I know, this (at the current time) a unique design. I expect others will copy it soon enough, but kudos to the design team for coming up with something new, unique and functional. The shorter distance from the clamp to the bracket adds to the overall sturdiness and stability of the mount. It's perfect for me as it is. It ensures that my phone stays exactly where I want it. Material Quality: The clamp is especially impressive. It is made of high-quality aluminum, which not only looks sleek but also feels incredibly solid. This is a clamp that is built to last. If others do copy this design, I'm sure the first thing they will do is substitute a cheaper-made clamp. For the Super Critic Only: While the clamp is impressive, the phone holder is made of plastic and feels somewhat cheaper in comparison. It's not a deal-breaker, but it's worth noting. Additionally, the method for adjusting the phone holder could be improved. Currently, you have to manually turn a screw to open or close the holder. A quick-release or quick-adjust mechanism would make switching between different phone sizes much more convenient. But as others have noted, it holds an impressive range of phone sizes. My large Galaxy fits very comfortably and it could hold a much larger phone. Summary: Overall, this product meets my expectations, and goes beyond them in a few ways. The use of smart phones has become ubiquitous among working pros. If you've ever been in a situation where there's nothing between you and the audience but your guitar, and somebody holler's out for a song you should know but don't, and you're fumbling with your smart phone trying to call up the lyrics, you'd see right away how handy this gadget can be. The Mippko Phone Holder easily attaches to your mic stand or the arm of your mic stand, so you can keep your device within easy reach for hand's free viewing or a quick search. If you're scrolling through online lyrics with a finger, the vise grip makes a sturdy support so you won't have to worry about the phone falling off the stand. Just be sure to tighten the fasteners down. Anyway, this is one of the more adjustable ones I've used. It can handle a pretty large device. Check the dimensions of your phone and make sure it will fit. Speaking of, this is the only one I've found that will go small -- I use it for my Tascam DR-05 digital recorder when I want to record something, as well as for my phone. If there was anything I would want added, it would be a goose neck for adjustability. But as it is, it's just right for what I need it for. ... show more

    • Compact, functional, only one minor change needed
I'm always looking for a phone/tablet holder that will securely clamp to microphone or cymbal stands of various diameters and hold the device exactly where I put it without moving. There's usually two major components to these clamps - the thing that clips to the stand or post or whatever, and the other part that holds the device. The clamp part of this holder is superb. It's easy to get around posts of nearly any practical size, and the metal handle that tightens the clamp down offers plenty of leverage to make sure your device won't slip and fall. The clamp itself is padded, which is a thoughtful touch - it's less likely to scratch your stands or surfaces. The device holder is functional. The design this manufacturer chose uses a thumbscrew to open or close the holder wings. When it's tightened down, it does a great job holding the device. However, I prefer the spring-loaded holders which are easy to snap a phone into and then remove with one hand. This design requires two hands to place and remove the device every time. Fortunately, the mount has a standard ball and collar mount that permits you to exchange the provided holder for a spring-loaded one if that's what you prefer. You can even trade out a larger bracket for a tablet if you so choose. The only other thing that might be nice is if the mount was itself a bit longer from clamp to bracket, so the device could be flown a little further off the vertical tube of the stand it's clipped to. With it being so short, you may find yourself positioning the stand closer to you than you might have, so as to read or use the device.
