This is such bright, light weight and easy to use headlight. It is BRIGHT!! The brightness levels can be adjusted based on the need. When the motion sensor mode is turned on, the light can be turned on or off by waiving your hand in front the light; the red flashlight module is handy when take a walk at night. The charger is on the back of your head, and there is little red dotted light on the charger as well. It fits on the head comfortably, the adjustable band it easy to adjust the length. I noticed the brightness of the individual bulbs are not even , so you have a very bright spot in the middle and then you can tell the areas that are less bright with darker round edges. I would like a bigger red light in the rear . What I like I can adjust the angle of the light in the front.

    • A great headlamp for hiking in the dark.

I purchased the MIOISY Rechargeable Headlamp in early October of 2023. I've been using it for hiking in the dark. It is just what I needed. It is easy to turn on and off (to turn off, just hold the button down for a few seconds). I choose not to use the motion detector setting, although I did try it out and it works perfectly. The adjustable headband fits perfectly. The angle of the lamp's beam is easily adjustable. From a half-empty battery level it recharges quickly and easily in about an hour or so. The beam is so bright, that I usually only use the first setting, although I can cycle through and use more lights if I want. Once I used it for 3 hours straight, and I still had enough battery life to keep on going for another -- oh, say --maybe for another hour? I Great value for the money. Works better than expected. I used it to install lights in the basement and an attic fan. i don’t see how I got along without it when I had to use one hand to hold a flashlight. I especially liked the wave on, wave off feature, though I had to learn how to hold my head so as not to turn it off accidentally when I was climbing around the rafters. I also liked the long battery life and how fast I could recharge it. I am going to keep it charged to have it ready for emergencies. The very bright flashing red lights in the rear will be invaluable should I need to use it if I have car problems on the road at night or just want to take a long walk on the country roads where I live. ... show more

Bought this to use when my boyfriend and I go out early in the morning on our Kayaks. The light is bright and gets great distance, I can see everything I need to and then some. It's not too heavy, which is fantastic because I'm not big on wearing anything on my head. I LOVE the hands free setting. I don't like to keep it on the whole time I'm on the boat because I try to avoid blinding my boyfriend when I look in his direction, so being able to quickly wave my hand in front of it to turn it on or off means I don't have to fumble to find any buttons or take a big break between paddling to change it. Overall it's simple, comfortable, and effective and I plan on buying a few more for winter to keep during power outages as well. ... show more

This is a nice headlamp. It will go several days of a couple hour use each day before needing a charge. It does have the feature that makes it shut off or come on with motion. I suppose that’s good for some, but when I’m out feeding my animals and I get to close to the cage it shuts off right when you need it. However you can use the left button to operate it and it bypasses that function. It also has a cool light up area on the back of the band so if you need to be seen from behind, you can turn that one on as well.
