This is a solid set of smart plugs for the price. Super easy to set up with enough options in the app to set up. I used these for a couple of lamps in my house. Before I left town, I was able to put the lamps on daily times through the app. In addition, the plugs work with Alexa; making it easy for me to turn on and off without having my phone around me. No issues with the signal dropping at all; always connected without a problem. Worth it!

I tried to connect this to my Samsung Fridge via smart things. It would not work. I have a Samsung 24 ultra and still nothing. I gave up because the connection takes too long to tell you it can't connect. Smart things has IOS capabilities but nothing, nothing, nothing. I just put it to the side and I'm not disappointed, I'm just annoyed.

THE BASICS: A pair of smart plugs, used for Smart Home systems like Alexa and Google Home to turn off & on devices such as lamps, fans, etc. WORTHY WINS: The firmware platform of these smart plugs, called "Matter," allows it to integrate seamlessly with other manufacturer's products. For example, our Smart Home (Google based) was already equipped with a certain brand - we'll call it "ACME" - smart plugs, and using ACME's proprietary app. Because these Minoston plugs are Matter based, they can integrate into our current system by directly working with Google Home. In other words, they don't need a separate proprietary app. fun MISSED OPPORTUNITIES: Nothing negative to note. They function reliably with our home network. I use HomeAssistant and have many smart devices in my house, and I'm always looking to add more. Recently, I needed more smart outlets, so I decided to try out some Matter-enabled devices. I was pleasantly surprised by the improvement over the vendor app units. Setting them up was a breeze - downloading a separate app is unnecessary. I opened my smart home app, selected "add device," chose Matter, and scanned the QR code. Setting them up typically takes just two minutes, and they work flawlessly.

Pairs almost instantly with Google once you have it set up and in pairing mode. Using 3rd party software to bridge the two makes integration super easy. Very basic functions (on/off) but does what you need it to. Not bad at all.

I have a ton of IOT gear installed in my house, always looking for quality new items to add as needed, and I needed more smart outlets. These are some of the first Matter enabled devices I've picked up, and wow is that a huge upgrade over the old vendor app required units. These don't require you to download an app at all, just open your smart home app of choice, select add device, select Matter, and scan the QR code. Takes two minutes start to finish typically, and they just work! I personally use Home Assistant, ESPHome, and Alexa, and these newer Matter plugs save me the effort of taking apart and reprogramming them with ESPHome firmware, and work just as well. Super pleased with these for higher current applications. The tiny round ones are great for lamps and other low current needs, but these are much beefier 15A units that can be used with things that have motors and heaters on them. Very please, will definitely order more when I need them!
