0-4 mph pretty fast for dead silent, wind doesn't do much to top speed, current wins every time. Using as primary propulsion on a zodiac working under piers in the bay. Near 0 noise, 0 smell. The noise from the water passing under the hull was many times louder then the humming of the control unit.

Works great on my 14' Johnboat, moves it quite fast and lasts several hours in a pretty strong current, highly recommend it for saltwater fishing.

I never write reviews but I have called customer service 3 times over the last two months to discuss the right battery, need for a power surge controller, and broken propeller blade. I have had three separate staff and they all had awesome MN accents and were more friendly and helpful than any customer service I’ve ever spoken to. They are placing a lot of asset out there to help buyers of their product. It felt like customer service you might expect as normal 60 yrs ago. The propeller broke because I hit a rock with it at top speed (rock pile in the middle of the lake). It was 100% my fault and it is designed to break to protect more expensive parts of the motor. I called to buy a replacement part, wanting to confirm the right size weedless edge 2. They shipped me a replacement for free because the motor is only 3 months old.
