I’ve had this motor for a year. It’s on a 15’ aluminum semi vhull. Fully loaded, with 5 people it pushes us 30mph. With one person 33mph. Good hole shot too. I ordered another prop with a different pitch. That gave me a higher top speed without losing much torque. This motor fires up first or second pull! The only time it doesn’t is when I forget to take the choke off and it floods. This motor takes Yamaha 40hp 2stroke parts. I forgot the exact model but it’s a carbon copy. Overall great motor, plenty of power, and seems to be lasting! The only reason I gave 4 stars is on account of the paint. I run it in saltwater mostly and it started to get corrosion under the paint after a few times on the water. ... show more

Absolutely worth every penny!! It's been running flawlessly for two months with incredibly smooth starts. Any major brand 40-horsepower engine would cost at least $4,000. It saves both effort and worry. I love it so much I'll recommend it to friends!
