I use this with my Minn Kota 30lb thrust trolling motor. It is easy to attach and makes it possible to sit further forward in my inflatable boat. It is easy to change speeds or stop the motor out on the water.

I have an older Enduru34 transom mount and the handle is more of an oval shape. All I had to do was remove the rubber insert in the extension and it fit perfect. Very lite comfortable handle.

If size is important, you need to order a length 6" longer than advertised. The trolling motor tiller goes into the extention about 6", making the usable length 6" shorter than the discription length.

My square back Coleman Scanoe (same as this model: Sun Dolphin Scout Square Stern Canoe, 14-Feet, Green has a MinnKota Endura 50 motor mounted on the transom, but this extender bar made it much easier to steer and throttle without having to reach so far back. I question the durability of the plastic clamp (aluminum would have been great) but it appears reasonably robust enough that I did not send it back. I was thinking of making my own, which would not be terribly difficult with a radiator hose clamp and some some PVC with slots cut in the clamping end or some other various clamping options, but decided to give this a try and am glad it worked out. If sturdier I would have given it five stars, but I think it will last if not abused. ... show more
