This is the third time I've purchased one of these chairs. I've had every kind of office chair there is from cheap to ridiculously expensive and quite honestly, I don't really think any of them are worth the money paid. That being said, this is kind of the "goldilocks" of chairs. Not particularly high end, but not too basic, not too expensive but not too cheap. The last one I had only lasted about a year before the pad wore down and it was quite uncomfortable.. but I still kept it another year until I couldn't take it anymore. So I would say if you can find it on Amazon Warehouse for a little cheaper price, it will be worth it. While the pad is new, it's super comfortable and the faux leather didn't even wear out before it became uncomfortable, so I am pretty happy with it overall. When assembling, make sure not to tighten the screws at all - just set them in place until you get everything together. Then, go back and fully tighten everything. I learned this the hard way before and the screw holes won't line up if everything is tightened ahead of time. Otherwise, assembly is 15 mins max by myself (I despise putting things together, another reason for my delay in replacing the chair). I work remote 5 days / 40 hours, so this chair gets a lot of use. I needed an office chair for working at home. I was about to buy one at Costco but the chair was expensive. I bought this one and it is REALLY comfortable, the size is perfect, and so far I don't have any neck or back pains. I was iffy about an Amazon chair but its meeting my expectations!

I will say up front that I am not a mechanically inclined person. I am more of the IT, logical type, so take that into account. I found this to be frustrating to put together. You open the paper that came with it and they give you a lay out of the items included in the box, tell you how to care for the chair and such. No instructions on how to assemble, it immediately goes into other languages, I assume for the same information that was provided on the first page. So, I started my best to assemble as it looks fairly easy. I got to one step that I was having trouble with and in frustration happened to pick up the little book from the back. There were the instructions. What logic tells you to burry the instructions 10 pages deep after covering useless information in a 1/2 dozen different languages. The like all these kinds of products, there wasn't really any directions just images and you are left to try and pick out what the writer means. I guess it was too complicated to write directions. How about this - if you are too lazy to write out detail directions to go along with your images, at least include a URL, Qcode to a video that shows the customer someone assembling it. All that said, I was able to assemble the char in about 20 minutes, sat in it for a bit and found it to be uncomfortable. I am maybe 5'6 ant 200 pounds, this chair fit really well on the seat part but came up to below my shoulder blades. This caused the bone to rub on the top of the chair. Additionally, the predrilled holes didn't 100% align, so precision and design were gaps when it comes to this product. Product returned ... show more

Overall it looks pretty good, the white is quite white almost like star war troopers white. The seat is not too deep so you may want to consider that, I'm petite so it's ok for me. I like the height control, a simple pull of the lever up/down, works well. Swivel smoothly, it glides great on my wood floor. The back is not very ergonomic, but it does have a control for tilt. I loosened up the knob at the bottom of the seat, but couldn't figure out what to do with the lever based on the diagram, pull left or right, how? Tried different things but the tilt seems more or less the same, so it's not like it actually reclines I guess. I do not have enough weight to push the back further, the default angle is not great but acceptable. The tough part is the assembly, instructions are not so clear. For the wheels, I tried to push them into the base, but they won't go in, not sure if I should force them in and risk breaking the plastic wheels. After fighting with the chair for a long time, the wheels finally went in. Also, attaching the armrests on the seat is very tough after you've already put the seat on the the base with the wheels on them. The whole thing moves around. They should have you put the armrests onto the seat first, before putting the seat onto the base. Anyway, I think in general, Ikea chairs are better quality, more comfortable, and easier to assemble. I will have to see about the comfort level over time, may add a little cushion to see if it helps. But for now I really needed a fairly good looking mid-back chair that rolls well and this one does the job. ... show more
